An amazing Idea has just occurred to me in a dream.

No, I only said it was like Real Time, I didn't mean it as an exact and by using that example I failed to make my point and sidetracked you.

My point is this.

Like Real Time PC games (being a faster way to play) this will appeal to players and become more popular, all well and good, for the majority.

The more popular it becomes the more people will no longer be interested in playing the old way. So Forum Battles maybe even reporting will die out, just like Turn Based PC games.

Without buying a new computer AND the other stuff required I can't even begin to take part. Hence my pissyness.

If Turn Based is dying out, then why do I still play it?

Look, Warhead, this can go down three ways.

- A few people try this, get worked up over lack of privacy, and shelve it as a fourm battle variant.

- People who like cheap fast fun, like J+B and others of his ilk, will exclusively play this, leaving everyone else to play fourm battles. This is most likely.

- Or EVERYONE could play this. This one is highly unlikely.

I am going for the second one also with the exception of "cheap" I think those few that keep playing this way will refine with time.

Scythe sums up his opinion in but a few sentences.

Webcam battles - think of these as a drunken back-alley fumble, ships passing in the night in need of a good screwing. It'll be awkward and elbow-y, and you'll most likely stick it in the wrong hole.

Forum battles - the long hard screw against the wall, Put together lovingly with great effort - just remember you need stamina . . . and you if you start it, you gotta hold everything up until the end.
