Well, always put your Boyz in Mobz of thirty, so it may be best to buy three Black Reach. DeffCoptas with Rokkit Launchas are good as well. But, they are very fragile, so give them cover from a small unit. My friend plays Orcs, and in the first turn of the game My VenomSpitter Fex killed two Deffcoptas. So give them cover! Big Meks with Kostom Force Feild are great, gives a cover save to all boys within maybe 24", great for boyz. Also, Nobz are great, but watch out for strength 8 guns. Those hurt. The Warboss? maybe buy a small unit of boys and load em in a truk. Then Barrel down on the enemy, and they will have to shoot you, because they do NOT want that in their lines, killing their guys. This maybe an expensive sacrifice, but it buys your boyz two or three turns to sprint towards enemy lines. BurnaBoys and Lootas I hear are good, but I have never played them. Storm Boys look useful, especially in the new Planetstrike. Bikers (Nob or normal) are pretty good. First turn TurboBoost them at the enemy, moving 24" and getting a 3+ Invulnerable save. But the biggest thing to do is to get as many boys into close Combat as possible. In units of thirty, with 4 attacks each on the charge, they can really mess things up. But templates and blasts will kill them in hordes, which is why sending a fast decoy unit can be good.

I'm going to buy as many of Black Reach as I can. I want to start a Space Marine chapter first, and they will be my main army, so I may not be able to get an Ork Codex for a while.

Hopefully today I will play Warhammer Fantasy Battle for the first time, I'll tell you how it goes. I'll probably get stuck with an army of goblins, the exact opposite of my playing style, but I expect to lose anyway.

Black Reach is great for either army. the Terminator squad alone justifies its purchase mostly, but the Dread and Tacticals make it awesome! Orcs, deffcoptas seperate cost more than Black Reach, so go for it!
Space Marine new Chapter: Tons of inspiration below, but if you want to start a Legion (II or XI) Then make sure it is original.

I am actually doing II legion, my backstory being that they were lost in the Warp. The Emperor removed all records because he assumed they were destroyed, but worlds would rebel if they though of Marins as anything but invincable. But, your choice!

They will probably be based on the Imperial Fists (correct me if I'm wrong, the ones with the eye-hurting yellow color scheme), because they fight like I do. Long ranged, and have siege equipment.

I also found that Imperial Armor (IE, the Imperial Guard tanks), are freakin' amazing, and I will probably field them in the future, too. I love the Basilisks, they are so explody and shooty. MORE DAKKA DAKKA!

I love the look of ork Big Shootas, so I'll probably use the spare Shootas as Marine equipment (Heavy Bolters).

That would be a cool conversion! And whats wrong with Yellow? That is the color of my Legion! But with The basalisks I agree. Actually, I believe Iron Warriors CSM use them, but I don't know if there a rule for it. And if you want to legally have a Leman Russ Exterminator with SM, then Space Wolves (or identical stats) can do that. Apocalypse can too, but that takes a while to get too.

I just don't really like yellow all that much. It's a good color for minifigs, but not for near-invincible warriors. I'd prefer a more stealthy color, like dark blue or green.

EDIT: I just played WFB. I loved it. It was fun, except I only knew the basic parts, like moving. It was pretty fun, but I got stuck playing a goblin army, and he had Dwarves. It was a slaughter, and he had about twice as many points worth of units. I technically "won", because we had it so all of my spearmen, spider-riders, and archers respawned, and he would hold out for as long as possible, but he would have totally owned me. Damn Miners...

No... Hrud are vermin and all the pictures I've seen, those are not rats. Mine are a totally unique army that may have stolen bits of the skaven fluff. As said by someone on a 40k forum, "Kroot that ate rats and genestealers, Genekrats."

Also, I'm thinking of switching to mechanized SoB, the only problem being that every noob marine player will say "Why not use marines? They're better."
I hate vanilla marines, every stupid noob kid plays them, then whines when they lose after challenging everyone in the store. The major reason to play fantasy is because most kiddies are to bugged up on 40k and LOTR. Sadly I play the LOTR sbg and have never lost with my haradrim in battle, because turbans = win.

Because all of my opponents are scrubs. Also, too many kiddies trying to play it. It's not my fault that turbans always win, especially when you win a game with 10 casualties, to your opponents entire army...

I noticed some of the most awesome Citadel miniatures today on their website. Valhallan Ice Warriors. They are Soviet-themed Imperial Guardsmen. The only bad thing is they are metal. I really want to collect them, but I still have to save up for a Black Reach set or two, but when I do have the money, the Valhallan Ice Warriors are going to be my third army, only because they look awesome.

I already kind of know how to play, as I just played WFB (It rocked, but the whole "Block of GOBLINZ FEAR US!" thing bugged me a lot, not to mention the fact that he only had about 500 points of Goblin archers and spearmen for me to play as. God, those little wretches suck!)

Thanks.

And yeah, BrikWars seems to attract wargamers in general.
