Thanks for the heads-up, I singed up too.
I haven't played an MMOG since beta testing Ultima Online. I attempted to spin that as a positive.

I'm not sure who this game is gonna turn out. It could be good or a major disappointment. Keep those of us without computers that can run games like that updated.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
It doesn't appear to be bringing much to the table. Pretty normal crap, really. They took the guildwars weapon-specific skills thing into their game, and some pseudo-action combat, but it doesn't appear t be that great.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
I woke up to find an invitation today. Only for a three hour stress test on Friday night, but I can unlock a monkey companion for the full game, so...

I think there is a way to be on the same game instance, not sure if there will be more than one anyway.
Not sure how yet.
I don't think there will be any advantage, other than someone who is willing to get beat on to test pvp maybe.
I havent got thru registration yet, they recommended clearing your browser cache, doing that now.

So, people are not supposed to say if they are a beta tester or not.
But if I was, my in game name would be Tzan.

I can neither confirm nor deny that I signed up successfully.
If I did, and all I saw was a Windows download, I'd be perplexed.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
Sorry, I had to do that.
Well that sucks.
Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
A response from the support team (they're pretty fast) confirms it, Windows-only. I guess I could look into SME kind of partition deal, but honestly I'm just too lazy to go to all that effort for three hours of beta, even with the promise of a sweet-ass monkey.Tzan wrote:

Not that I'm a potential beta tester or anything. It would be wrong to say so.

Yikes that's a lot of people.ESO web site wrote:...we’ve sent out tens of thousands of beta keys already. Keep in mind, though, that three million fans have signed up so far.
