I'll grab my things and slip out the back, away from the crowds and hidden as best I can be. Then, I'll take a look upwards and find out what everyone is on about.

Carefully climb out the window, to the ground if I'm on the first floor, or the roof if I'm on the second, It's probably safer there anyways, but you never know.

I don my armor, grab my sword, and find the nearest authority figure.

As you go outside you see what everyone is pointing at: The full moon, which has become blood red.

From the crowd you hear fearful whispers of war, plague and famine.

Gerald spots a member of the city watch, looking at the moon like everyone else.

(Never played Skyrim. If I'm stealing that plot it's not intentionally.)

I feel that something is really off, and put on my armour, grabbing my sword and bow for good measure. I will continue to watch from my window.

"Fellow guardian, what omens does this moon portend to you? I come from a land far south, and do not know the local legends or customs. Where I am from, all we know is the glorious Sun, who's light cannot reach us at this hour." I am always fearful when the sun cannot witness evil, but that is when it comes out to play the most. The moon is the counterbalance to the Sun, and such growing evil can only throw the natural order of the universe out of alignment. I pray my blade will be strong enough, my mind quick enough, and my spirit strong enough to see through this evil. "Should you require any help peacekeeping, I will gladly render my services." For a nominal fee, of course.

Good, I am pleasantly surprised by the plot.
Adarim
Mingle with the people in the streets, attempt to pick out bits and pieces to figure out what's going on, if this has anything to do with local folklore.

"The red moon is a rare and evil omen," the watchman says to Gerald. "It has never appeared in my lifetime. But the legends say a red moon appeared in the sky before the Sorcerer's War broke out, hundreds of years ago, and even earlier before the Night of Burning Women. Thanks for your offer of aid, we might need it."

Adarim mingles with the crowd. Most are just staring at the sky in horror, families huddled together, children sobbing. Some are arguing what the omen signifies.

"War is coming!"

"The plague will return!"

"We have angered Päkkaan!"

"I'll have you know that I have studied large-scale riot control tactics, and would be honored to lead a squad of your finest and most honorable men should we see worse. Such experience would demand nominal payment, but considering the times I would waive collection until after the crisis has passed."

"That's good to know..."

The red hue is slowly retreating across the moon's surface. The crowd starts moving. Most are headed towards the cathedral.

I follow the crowd, staying near the back and making sure I have a clear route out if this turns violent, as a member of the Faith, I want to know the representative of Pakkaan's word on this sign, also, if my studies of the Dragon School tell me anything about this phenomenon, I try to recollect.

Vami_IV has been added to the waiting list.

Saucix and Nisos go with the crowd to the cathedral.

Nisos rolled Int 17+16

Nisos recalls his classes in the field of prophetic phenomena, where the rare omen of the red moon was discussed. It is said that it forebodes a great number of disturbing events across the world. The last appearance of the red moon, about three hundred years ago, was indeed followed by several terrible things, such as the outbreak of the Sorcerer's War, the Universal Trials in Ovgrod and the appointment of Mazlowe Proudfrost to headmaster of the Dragon School. Earlier records of events following the red moon are similarly awful, but too shrouded in myth and legend to be trusted.

The cathedral is rapidly filled with people. The din of voices quietens as Mother Salvegard appears at the podium.

"People of Eisgir, I know you are filled with fear of what we have seen tonight. But know this: Päkkaan watches over us all as always, and with Him on our side, what could possibly hurt us? Indeed, He already sent warning signs to our fang-readers. Over the coming days, the priesthood will enact rituals of protection over the city, and agents of the church are already out in the field to discover any threat before it reaches us." Mother Salvegard's gaze seems to pick Saucix out in the crowd for a second. "Now Lord Akjar wishes to address you."

Lord Akjar, the political leader of Eisgir and the nearby lands, ascends to the podium.

"Citizens of Eisgir, I take this omen most seriously. The city guard has been put on highest alert, and will remain so until conclusive fang-readings shows that danger has passed. Report any and all suspicious occurences to your nearest guardhouse immediately. Rest assured that if there is any threat to Eisgir, whether physical or spiritual, we are prepared for it."

"Now let us pray, and then let us go home and sleep", Mother Salvegard says.

The congregation joins in the "Look to us, great Päkkaan" prayer.
