So what's the next step?
Remus: Harry... I'm a werewolf.
Harry: Are you fucking serious?
Remus: Well yes, but I don't see how that applies here.

Keep Scroll Case + Canister. We're going to head North.

Saucix bags the scroll casae and the party goes into the north tunnel. It twists westwards, then turns north again, and ends at a metal door set into the wall. It seems to be made from the same material as the scroll case. There is a faint glow coming through the crack below it.

I want Nisos to make a decipher script check or whatever to see if he can learn anything from the scroll canister before we open this thing. I've got a baaaaad feeling about whatever's behind that door.

The light coming from the crack is yellow-white and steady, not flickering. Saucix hears no noise from the other side.

"Gladly, brother." I open the door, with all of my might.

Gerald eagerly opens the door. Behind it is no cave, but a room carved from the rock. A huge yellow mushroom grows out of a small crack in the floor, and its fluorescent cap bathes the room in yellow-white light.

There is another metal door on the northern wall, but this one looks heavier and more fortified. Where there should be a handle or keyhole, the door has only a circular, fist-sized hole about six inches deep.

Examine mushroom, as it is a rare delicacy where I come from.

I'm going to try to identify the text, see if I was paying attention that class.

Gerald sticks his hand into the hole. Over a dozen metal pins emerge from all around the edge of the hole and close in on his wrist, then they retract just as quickly. Gerald's skin gets pricked in a few places, but nothing serious.

Saucix takes a look at the mushroom. It is about five feet tall, and yellow with a luminescent cap. The stem continues down a crack in the floor about one foot wide. He has never seen this species before. Or any mushroom this big, for that matter.

Nisos examines the text on the scroll case.

Rolled Int 12+16

He recalls these squiggly symbols being mentioned briefly in a lesson on dead languages. There are many old languages not spoken by anyone today, only preserved as writing on ancient artifacts. Unless the texts themselves give some clue when translated (with a Read Languages spell), no one can say what civilization or race wrote them down. Nisos remembers this as one of the languages with unknown creators. He also recalls a theory about this being a "demonic" language, but can't remember exactly what the basis was for that.

Someone check for poison on Gerald's hand, it probably needs a big circle key with specific holes fitted in, anyone got a really big bottle of wine with the cork still in? Does the canister fit in? Also, are the things still following us?
