For the curious/clueless.

It's like Left 4 Dead IN SPACE!

Just finished playing this game on Steam. Quite a blast, but make sure you get a competent Medic.

In other news, I was the medic in my last game, and promptly watched as my team got slaughtered. I then proceeded to fire my stock of grenades into the horde at close range, and then fired the last one into the wall directly behind me. Took most of the buggers with me, too.

Oh, did I mention it's FREE?

Ditto. I've tried to play it three times now, and each time it seems to have gotten even more sluggish and slow.

Um, didn't Steam become available for Macs a month or two ago?

Yeah, steam is avaliable for Mac . . . but not all the games are yet.

However, the fact that steam is on Mac now is a beginning, just a slow one. =/

Why don't you guys try and put the resolution minimal? You wont enjoy the games graphical splendor and great SFX but you could at least still play it :? ...

Yet again, let my say why this game is good and why should you try it for the ones who havent yet:

6. Great graphical work
7. Great SFX work
8. Cool and powerful weapons
9. Choosable classes (Sarge, Tech, Medic and Sp. Weapons)
10. Aliens-like environment, not that creepy just because you have 3 other marines with you so your never alone (unless they die, duh)
11. Short and fun missions, its difficult to get bored or out of attention
12. Fully co-op game, evolves your teamwork and makes people get together
13. ITS FREAKIN FREE! We have all these great aspects packed up in a free online game only a roughly 1 hour or less (depending on your net conn) download away!

I tried it, but all it did was lag lag lag lag. Worst part? I went to offline practice, and for some reason the background was all white. i couldn't see shit, except for character pictures and class icons. All I could see of the start button and all the weapon selection buttons were the four white dots around them, and only because they were a slightly different white from the background. Finally got it started and it was the slowest thing ever. Guess I can scratch that one off the list.

Well, crap. I guess I have to make a list of good and relatively old PC games (not demanding much of graphics or CPU) so we can all play together some day... :|
