Also, Darth is at camp. He requested that I give him a chance to survive without his orders, so he'll probably end up staying with whatever group you guys find. You might run into him later on in the game.

Zupponn: Find a fire axe.

[5: Epic Success] Zupponn takes a quick look around and finds a fire extinguisher and axe. He hefts the axe, then realizes that he's overloaded with stuff.

Zupponn Finds: Fire Axe. Zupponn is overloaded with items. Drop an item?

Advance: The party troops down the stairs. All the doors to the other flights are closed. After a few minutes, you reach the lobby level and open the door.

The hotel's lobby is long, spacious, and in a state of barely-controlled panic. It appears that the long windows surrounding the lobby are high enough off the ground to prevent intruders, and yet give everyone inside a vantage point over the mobs- zombie and otherwise- rolling down the streets. You hear gunshots and screams outside. Inside, someone is attempting to rally the few armed people present into a squad, but isn't having much luck as they watch Death come.

You notice that this is not the main entrance that you saw from upstairs. Someone has taken most of the furniture in the lobby and barricaded the sliding glass doors.

The elevators are being barricaded and guarded by a pair of exceedingly nervous looking security guards with pistols. They're startled when you exit the staircase behind them, but decide not to argue the point when they see your guns.

Looking around, there is an unguarded entrance to the Walmart in a side hall. You see the tail end of a group of survivors disappear around the corner, and only hear shouted orders.

You also notice an entrance to 'The Link', which is what appears to be a covered bridge above streetlevel going to the next building.

Ask someone: "What's on the other side of The Link?"

Ask Zupponn: "Want me to carry some of your stuff?"

501st: Advance
[1: Critical Failure] 501s pushes his way through the gathered people, attempting to reach the window. Someone- thankfully unarmed- takes offense at this and starts shouting at him. People start looking at you. He can't get to the windows.

Zupponn: Investigate Street
[5: Epic Success] Zupponn looks around and hands his pocketknife off to someone, it disappears quickly. He peers out the barricades and looks around. The tail end of a group of zombies disappears around the corner, heading for the Walmart.

Arkbrik: Follow, Observe

[4: Success] Arkbrik steps into the argument between 501st and the man, defusing it with a few quick words. He leads 501st over to Zupponn and looks out the window.

Observing a few groups move past, pursuing one another, it appears that the ratio is about 2:1 in the zombie's favor. Not a problem for the well-armed groups of survivors, but the city is in meltdown, which means that there is a lot of meat out there.

He looks at Darth and asks what is over the Link. Darth points at the sign. [6: Overshoot] It reads, 'St. John of Mercy Medical Center'. Balls.
