Right! Excited! Let's pimp this ride!

Current situation: The party has made contact with a surviving officer near the surface. Aliens are running rampart throughout the facility, and being this near the core, everyone the crew has encountered is dead. This sounds familiar, Gordon.

Current mission: GETTHEFUCKOUTTAHERE

The lights flicker as the party reenters the hall, looking around for more of the beasts. The clicking from the decimeter pulses and fades as they walk past door after door, away from their starting point.

Alec: Search: 6 [+1 XP] Alec ducks around a corner into an empty room, following a sign with an emblem of fire on it. He snatches up a fire extinguisher, and then reenters the hall with it held triumphantly. This nets him a few odd looks.

At the end of the hall, a busted light would illuminate the sign proclaiming the entrance to Thermal Testing, Sublevel 16. She' tries the door, opening it onto a metal stair leading into a large room. Down again. Below, lines of server racks lead towards a large, sealed room.

The decimeter leaps again as Knolli watches it. The pulse signals the apperance of a twisting sensation in the party's stomachs, as the wall... distends, disgorging three of the alien beasts onto the ground below. They fall below into the racks, looking stunned. The party glances around uncertainly.

Current Floor: Sub-Level 15
Alec: Energy Blade: 10/10 HP: 2 XP: Armed, Extinguisher [+1 Dodge]
Knolli: Dual Blades: 10/10 HP: 2 XP: Armed, Pistol [+1 Ranged]
She': Plasma Gun: 10/10 HP: 2 XP
Fenix: Steelskin: 8/10 HP: 2 XP: Armed, Pistol [+1 Ranged]
Group Loot: Orange Card, Knife, Power Rod, Cykronium, 2 Medkits

Enemies Present!
Assassin: 10/10: Dazed
Assassin: 10/10: Dazed
Berserker: 10/10: Dazed

Use XP to-
:Form a new mutation
:Attune your connection to your mutations, gaining +1 to relevant attacks

Ok then, I guess I'll shoot the fire extinguisher. Even though shooting the buggers themselves would work better.

Hey, it's alive again. Thanks, Ross.

I feel sorry for the server cluster that's going to be distroyed, if it isn't damaged by the radiation already.

"Back, before they see..... too late." :roll:

I asume the corridors between the servers racks are small and narrow, so the aliens would have an advantage there.

I open fire with the gun, aiming carefully. I don't want to waste any bullets.

My XP I use to improve my HP. I havn't used my mutation, yet. I don't even know for sure that I am mutated, so spending a point there would be bad char play.

I stand back and wait for them to come. I protect someone if endangered. If Knolli needs ammo I borrow him mine.

I'm retconning the Assassin's HP to be 6 instead of 10.

Alec: 4: Alec blinks as the aliens collapse below. Taking a step out onto the metal grating of the stair, he chucks the extinguisher down below. It hits the ground between two of the beasts with a loud clunk. "Shoot it, She'!" he shouts, dodging back out into the corridor. The larger of the aliens shakes it's head bemusedly, the daze beginning to lift....

She': 5: She' grins, raising his arm. A pulse runs down the gun's muzzle, corresponding with Knolli's decimeter shrilling frantically, as he goes into a crouch, takes aim, and fires.

*BANG*

Dead on like Bonn-o-Tron. The extinguisher flips up, hit in the cap with one shot, spinning. The next bolt blows it apart in midair. The explosive result sends spiraling shards of metal into the beasts, tearing them both completely apart, and the intact steel end directly between the eye-spots of the large alien. [-7] [-7] [-5] It falls onto it's back again, completely wiped out.

Knolli: 3: Knolli takes a pair of shots at the beast in the back. It shudders, a stream of bile emerging out of it's chest at the impact wounds. [-4]

Knolli feels tougher! Aha! [+2 Total HP]

Fenix: Watching in the back of the party, Fenix feels a strange sensation ripple down his shoulders and arms. Raising his hands to his face, he watches, eyes wide, as his skin gains a silvery tone, and his knuckles bulge. He flexes his wrists cautiously, and his spike leap out. They're now silver-grey and razor sharp. [+1 Melee, +1 Total HP]

Like what you said about RM's RPing skills, Knolli, RTDs are a lot less in-character. You can play it as you like, but going over-the-top is kinda the point here.

I try to kill the remaining alien. When it's dead I say: "Fascinating! This last one was different from the rest, did you notice? I wonder what is creating these rifts."

@ Ross: To stay in character or to take the setting serious are different aspects of RPing. I tested the He-Man RPG and Dragonball Z RPG this weekend and in both games we nearly destroyed whole worlds and laughed about it. Something you would never do in Star Wars RPG, Shadowrun or others that are dead serious. But every game is more fun when you stay in character. I'll try to adapt to a Serious Sam-like mentality for this setting from now on like Bonn-o-Tron.

A Decimeter is unit of lenth equal to 10 centimeter cm.
A Dosimeter is a device to measure an individual's exposure to radiation over a long period. It is a quite simple device that often looks like a pen and is usually worn by everyone working with or near radiation.
A Geiger counter detects the momentary emission rate of nuclear radiation. That would be the effect you described.
Sorry for the lecture but I couldn't let that stay uncorrected. :rtfm:
