I have to admit, all the cinematics leading up to this game are great, but...

The gameplay looks weak. I saw the gameplay trailer, and was disappointed. It looks like another crappy WoW clone, as far as the mechanics go, and the industry accepts that now because that is what MMO's have become.

The story will rock, but the gameplay will be boring as piss. Call me a pessimist, but I won't be purchasing ToR.

I've been really interested in the game (Star Wars fanatic...), but I don't think I'll get it. Especially with Metro: Last Light and FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 at the top of my buying list for video games...

Yeah I don't expect the game to be very special.
Mostly its for people who want to do the same old thing in that world environment.

I will try the Warhammer40k MMO for that reason. It will be just as grindy as all the rest.

Too bad they brought all the Clone Wars stylized stuff into it for the kiddies. It does make more sense though, as at this time the galaxy was more united instead of the huge Rebellion vs. Empire stuff of the original trilogy. Still, when I think of Star Wars, I'm more into a small force ruining a huge, organized force.

Gameplay wise it makes more sense, too. You have both sides, equally matched for PVP.

I know most people here don't like that, but I like that style.

It's bioware, so I expect great things. Their rpg gameplay has generally been quite good, and their stories are almost always excellent. Plus I like the KOTOR timeframe much more than the post-DS2 stuff and more than most of the OT-era EU stuff (the Clone Wars stuff is pretty messy imo, and the prequel trilogy has left a bad taste in my mouth for that period).

Ultimately, though, it is hard to beat a setting where mandalorians are old-school and there is more than one pair of sith running around.
