Gov. Perry I think, who is less of a true conservative than many people seem to think. Ron Paul is from Texas too, of course, but he is a Representative.
Also Pewwy is completely batshit cwazy. Won Paul may ave some dumb ideas, but he's fully behind them and twuthful about it.

Sssh, be wery wery qwiet. I'm hunting Wabbit.
Perry also likes to talk up federalism, but when it comes time to put his power where his mouth is he chokes. I don't much like him.

This is pretty much the gist of how everyone's voting should be. No one should be able to say they back all opinions a politician has.

The electoral collage is stupid, way too rainbow.
I'm waiting for the zombie apocalypse.

If you don't vote, then you have no reason to bitch about anything the government ever does. If you're okay with that, then congratulations.
Also, I think we're all waiting.

No one ever has a reason to bitch about what the government does; you can just leave.

Gonna write in my Uncle Bob.
He's admittedly a racist, he owns a lot of guns, and I really just think he's a good man for the job.

The electoral college is a great system that none of the states implements in anything approaching an intelligent fashion. All the party-dominated state legislatures a century and a half ago set things up to maximize the ability of established political parties to monopolize power, so you wind up with winner-take-all style electoral college assignments, and the progressive movement back in the late 1800s/early 1900s pushed for direct election of everything, so now instead of voting for an elector you vote for an electoral slate by picking the candidate that the slate is pledged to vote for.
Of course, electors aren't actually bound to vote for the people they have pledged to vote for, which means if they have the guts they can put pretty much anyone they want into the presidency, but I doubt sufficient of them would be man enough to do so.
It would be theoretically possible for a state legislature to appoint electors, or to have the governor appoint electors, or even for random lots to pick electors, but of course they all want some variation of popular voting.
Since people are generally stupid, it follows that anything that limits their ability directly to affect the most important elections should be a great thing, hence senators being picked by the state legislatures and electors being chosen according to whatever manner the state legislatures care to set up. Stupid progressives foisted direct election of senators on us, and they've been making lots of noise about getting rid of the electoral college as well. May they never succeed.

I'm not sure if they will ever succeed just because of the fact that many states would want to keep the college because it gives them more of a say than a popular vote would.

I'm writing in my history teacher old history teacher, Mr. Kennedy, because he's more capable than most politicians, and wouldn't fuck around with arguing all the time. And he has a sick goatee, loves The Who and Jeopardy, and is all around awesome

You guys should write me in. Then I could start the North American Union(Using the combined resources of Canada and the United States, along with the US military, we could use mexico as a cheap labour force and shift dependence off china. Then, we wait about two or three decades for China to run out of females and then support India in a war against china.)
Also I would kill all the neo-nazis.

If he was elected, he'd be assassinated.

Don't forget to ship guns to the Tibetans, I hear they would volunteer for something like this.
