I actually believe America isn't becoming totalitarian, but rather more oligarchy-like. It's Congress that does (and doesn't do) most of this crap anyway. Way I see it, America is feudalism disguised as democracy. Don't get me wrong, I like living there, but our political system is so corrupted and screwed up that its just rediculous. The 1% that all the occupy protestors keep blabbing about is indeed what rules America. Why? because they use their huge funds to give money for senator's campaigns so that when the senators get in office, they only do what the 1% wants because they keep feeding them their massive paychecks. It gets even worse when you throw in the fact that the senators themselves vote to increase their salary every year. I'm thankful for all that we have here in America, but I can't help but notice what's become of us...
