Happy New Year! :guinness:

Due to unexpected events, I had to dismantle the forest area but it shouldn't be too much of a problem since there's nothing going on there at this time. The scenery is still recoverable so it may or may not be back at some point.

I also decided to split post between the action on the planet and the space battle. This should allow me to cope with the latest events and still be able to continue this.

That being said, back in the cave..

Image
“Oh man, I haven't had beetle juice in years!”

Image
Vera's suitor dabs his finger in the beetle's blood and starts to eat some.
:why:

Image
"Honey, you have to try this, it's delicious."
He offers some to Vera but she ignore him and moves to kill the closest beetle.

Image
Image
The beetle survives and counterattack!

Image
The Post-Apoc Survivor and the Space Detective combine fire to help Vera but they roll poor damage once again.

Image
Flash and Jaras intervene.
Flash: "Alright, crewmen! Onward to adventure and glory! Make your Captain proud!"

Image
They both get +3xp!

Image
Carlos uses all his supernatural powers to enchant his gun.

Image
He aims at the Beetles and fire.

Image
A powerful explosion that kill both Beetle ensue (+13xp).

Image
The last Beetle runs toward Flash..

Image
Trying to protect Flash, Garth throws his axe at the Beetle but it survives the hit.

Image
Flash enchant his beamsaber.

Image
"Haha! No mere space-roach is a match for Captain Flash Maxwell and his trusty crew, makeshift though they may be!"
(+6xp! Flash gains a level!)

Image
Flash then remarks on the situation:
"With all this flawless leadership, dazzling field commanding, and not to mention my trademark knockout looks, after this mission is over, I am SO getting my 27th cover on Intergalactic Magazine!"

Image
Image
At the other end of the room, a group of Beasts is protecting some items they gathered from their snacks: A small shield, a couple of armor pieces and a long range weapon.

The next turn of the space battle should be done in a couple of days.

Grab Vera's suitor and carry him forward as a shield, "Here, I'm bring you a gift of food, may we share together in good friendship", he prepares his crossbow to fire just incase things don't go well.
"Flash cover me old boy, we have some killing to do," he whispers

Okay, so is the city still around? or is the whole area destroyed? If the city was destroyed it could simply be stated that the plant blew up and destroyed everything. If it was just the forest, it could be stated that the fire spread and much to smokey the bear's chagrin, the entire place was burned down. (assuming a wasteland would be easier to build than rebuilding everything as it was)

Before I post orders, wanted to ask everybody this:

Mgb, if you are using one of your grenades, everyone with supernatural powers should enhance the damage- not the radius, we don't want to be caught in the blast, but enhancing the damage could take out most of them in one shot.

Anyway, I think we should just toss the grenade (I would say to try and center it on that huge wolf guy in the center), have Carlos, Jaras, and Flash enhance damage, duck back round the corner, and hold our position (melee attackers off-sides covered by the ranged attackers, ranged attackers center and behind and covered by the melee attackers) as it is for any survivors, that way we can easily pick off the enraged, charging beasts. (another reason to hang back, as those minotaurs have deadly horn charges)

What do you guys think?

What if I used thr Farce to move it into place instead of enhancing the damage? Just incase Carlos' throw roll doesn't go well.

Boost grenade damage, saving one dice to supernaturally enhance my senses. If the cave collapses, I want to dodge.

SCS Avoidance (Lord Mercat)
Image
Gimbles: "Alright Biff, TIME TO GET FANCY! FINISH THE TURN, REVERSE THE SHIP, TARGETING COMPUTERS DIRECT ALL FIRE TO LEFTMOST PILOT- LETS BLOW THESE PIRATES TO A DIFFERENT DIMENSION!"

Image
Biff: "Got it, targeting now, reversing engines, and THIS ONES FOR CAPTAIN MAXWELL- FIRE"

Image
A powerful and well aimed shot from the Ion Cannon destroys a cockpit and kills the Pilot.

Image
Using the auxiliary thrusters, the Avoidance reposition itself to face the Chimera.

Image
Half the pulse cannons fire a shot that takes 3 hit points from the Chimera (6/10 remaining).

Image
The remaining cannons are set to “Automated Response Fire” (ARF)

Image
Gimbles: "Damn, all this action's making me hungry. Hey Biff did we eject all the donuts?"
Biff: "All but the Captains private stash"
Gimbles: "Hmmm better not take those.... Although, on second thought, this IS an emergency"

Image
Gimbles and Biff leave the bridge and proceed to eat Captain Maxwell's private donut stash while continuing to wait for clearance from Noxarian Security.

Pierro Mimsey the Sad Clown (???)
Image
Having doubts as to who should be controlling him, the Sad Clown decides to simply sit on the wing of the Chimera and cry.. for now...

Image
"BOU'HOUHOUHOUHOUHOU!!!!"

Noxarian Security (Battlegrinder)
Image
The Interceptor turns around and comes back for the Escort.

Image
A shot from the lasers deals two points of component damage to the starboard engine.
The effective size of the engine is down to 1 and the Escort suffers a -2” penalty to movement.

Image
The Interceptor change its course again and complete its movement right behind the Chimera.

Image
Sentinel-144 advances 12 inches.

Image
Still out of range..

Space Pirates (Scribonius)
Image
Having come to a full stop, the Chimera launches another round of torpedoes and fire its lasers at the Avoidance.

Image
Response fire from the Pulse weaponry was unable to hit the incoming torpedoes.
The SCS Avoidance suffers four points of structural damage! (12/16 left)

Image
The Escort turns itself around and target the Interceptor again.

Image
"Yar, bloody planetary forces! Bugger off, ya scallywags! This be our booty, and we'll fight ye to keep it if we must!"
No damage...

ESF Reinforcements (NPC)
Image
The Drop Pods advance 25 more inches.
The first one is getting close to Noxarian space..

Image
Image
A third Drop Pod enters the area!

SECRET FACTION ACTIVATED
Space Mafia (NPC)
Image
A small spacecraft arrives.
“This is Spacecraft “Procuration”, requesting clearance to Noxarian space.”

Image
“Noxarian Control to Spacecraft Procuration: You are clear to enter Noxarian Space. Enjoy your stay!”

Image
The spacecraft heads for the planet.

WAITING FOR MORE ORDERS!

The city and the beach are still there it's the mountains and the forest that were partially taken apart. They're salvageable so I can rebuild them but I might move the action directly to the city (and the beach) instead.

First off use my level point to increase skill.

Good idea for Jaras to enhance the precision of the throw

Okay then, orders for Flash: Have Flash use some (not all) of his supernatural power to enhance the damage of Carlos' grenade. Save the rest of it for supernatural counter, block, bail whatever best fits the situation just be ready to get the hell out of dodge if the grenade goes south, or the beasts charge, or whatever other possible manner of mayhem may occur. Other than enhancing the grenade, hold position and follow the general plan/formation we've been using in the general area (movement wise, he shouldn't really go much of anywhere closer to the beasts) where he is now, close to the others, but not so much up front as to make himself a primary target.

"Haha, excellent work thus far, crewman, I can see that I've taught you well! Not all that surprising actually, I am the greatest instructor one could possibly hope for." Flash continues: "Now, lets see then, lets add a bit of my patented panache to this grenade here" (when he is adding supernatural damage to the grenade)

"Now, time to do what comes naturally, hold fast and stand pretty! Whatever's left of those beasts won't get past a crew commanded by a legend of my caliber!"

I'm going to move up and cover the rest of the team, but stay behind a layer of meat shields.

Also, are the Space Mafia the same Space Mafia my Sigfig runs, or are they unaffiliated space mafia?

"Get another of those bombs ready, they seem ready to rush us."

Okay, clearly I need to go back and read what happened since I left the forums. That looks epic.
