Round 2
Imperials - Scratch

The spearmen advance, clearing some space by knocking down the trees.

They then advance into the wilds, presenting the Drakhirri with a spearwall.

The crossbowmen advance and fire, missing wildly...

One misses so badly his shot gets stuck in a phalanx's armour. "Hey, watch your aim you blind asshole!"

The Imperials keep advancing, the cavalry lining up alongside Cales as the spear squad crosses the river and the sword squad splits up, one group preparing to cross the river while the other stays behind to guard the cannons.

Cales flips his visor shut. "Okay men, fire the special ammo!"
Unfortunately the feat fails and the cannons wildly misfire...

... into the back of the Bull army. The damage is massive, shredding three crossbowmen and killing the minotaur before it even got to do anything

Alarmed, the phalanx turns to face the Imperial army as if they were one man. "What on earth was that all about?!"

"I'm very sorry. Gunpowder just isn't as reliable as we want it to be. I seem to recall losing some of my men to an explosion caused by your dear captain Voytek during the siege of Starkeep myself. Now turn your pikes away from my army and continue attacking the Drakhirri immediately, or I will have to punish you."
Drakhirri - NPC'd

The slayer outmaneuvers the general and rips off his head with the edge of his pike.

On the Drakhirri's left flank, the Bull elites stand fast against their enemy's attacks, one slayer getting engulfed in flame from a fire hammer.

Another slayer is made to realize how foolish it is to take a Bull phalanx formation on your own by yourself and is cut to shreds, but it buys the champion time to draw back his lance, and throw it...

Mumbles' celery dance is abruptly, and violently ended.
Bulls - Warhead

The crossbowmen loose another volley...

The Bulls lock shields but one shot strikes straight through a shield, into a phalanx's face, killing him instantly.

The champion scoops up the fallen slayer's pike and prepares to fight off the warriors piling up in front of him as he calls for his men to stand their ground.

The crossbowmen reorganize and fire a massed volley...

The chariots and their riders were just out of range, but arrows slash into the dogs pulling them, killing them all and grounding the chariots.

The catapult fires... and if you look closely, you can already see it.

One crossbowman gets his head crushed.

The icons start eating the celery, well, two of them do...

A fight breaks out between the feral creatures as the third demands equal rights.

Luckily for the Bulls it doesn't distract them enough to keep them from enhancing the elites' charge.

Momentarily benefiting from enormous strength, the elites surge forward, those who manage to make contact with the enemy easily knocking down their opponents.

Four Drakhirri are left defenseless. The elites show no mercy and crush three of them under their hammers.

Marnix and his heavies fall in behind them, Marnix spurning his men on to greater deeds. "Finish the job! Roll over them!"

His feat convinces two more elites to attack again, one of them caving in a swordsman's chest with his hammer.

This heavy kinda got stuck behind the phalanx and crossbow formation. He'll make it eventually.

First, the champion's horse is overkilled and cut into bloody chunks.

Then the phalanx engage in combat with him, taking him down to 2 HP. The champion doesn't manage to retaliate, but at least he's keeping the formation from advancing.

Behind him the rightmost phalanx moves in, clashing with the Drakhirri swordsmen.

The centre left phalanx lines up with their brothers on the left flank and try to avenge their general...

The slayer is chopped down, but he manages to take one of his assailants with him.

The left flank doesn't make a move, but, wary of the imperials' motives, keep their shields locked together and their pikes extended.
