The Roman cavalry split into two columns and advance.

The Legionaries form up against the Lingoni.

The Lingoni leader shouts something, but the Legionaries only understand Latin so they conclude it was some sort of complicated war-cry.

Two warriors charge General Aemilius Paulus, and his pilum is deflected by the warrior's shield.

A Legionary bravely takes the damage while Aemilius Paulus decapitates one of his attackers.

Poor damage rolls mean only one warrior falls to the pilum.

In the ensuing melee, 1 Legionary and two warriors are killed.

The Drakhirri scout and General Zermanion manage to chop off a couple tree branches, and the Roman fails his damage roll.

But the General makes a heroic attack and cleaves the cavalryman in twain after he fails his parry.

The horse-archers fire but fail to kill anything.
