Fall Of Starport 73-Turn 1

The first officer makes a break from his cover.

He ends up in the red building--Nothing here but empty crates.

Chief Nicholas wants to deputize civilians, but civilians cannot be recruited! Instead he strikes a pose and gains a heroic response action.

The two cops near the limo turn to support the flank.

Image

The two mafia goons are relieved--The may not need to get into a shootout today.

They take position on the right flank.

USA

The squad piles onto the roof.

Image

The Super-Soldier flexes his muscles in preparation of a heroic feat of strength. He grabs the sign, and begins to pull.

The roof now has some cover.

Image

The mechanic sprints towards the Minister.

Image

He ends up at the door. Two soldiers move to assist him, as the other soldiers head towards the terminal roof.

The officer's sprint roll takes him onto the roof. Everyone else is a bit behind.

The scout drops down and follows the two soldiers from the terminal.

The General leaves the control tower.

These guys squad up(I forgot to get a picture earlier).

The diplomat prepares response action. There are a lot of civilians around, too many to safely fire the main gun at the moment.

VOL

The VOl leap into action. Some sprint for the yellow building, others move normally.

The Volkyrie sets up a response action. The other trooper gets into cover.

The troops that didn't sprint attack the civilians.

Poor rolls result in only 3 deaths.

Space Mafia

The Don gives an order to look around "We need to get the briefcase off the planet--Try to find anything useful!"

All the cabinets are empty--Prior evacuees must have cleared it out. The buzzsaw guy tries to cut through the roof, while the rifleman sets up at the window.

He aims at the raider's dynamite.

He misses by 1(roll of 5 when i decided he needed a 6). he Kills the raider holding it.

The don, tired of buzzsaw guy's failure, blows a hole in the roof(for whatever reason I don't have a picture of the roof.)

Johnny Meatballs, one of the enforcers heads towards the battlefield; the other towards the limo.

He starts it up.

"Evac 3, this is Control. You are not cleared for takeoff, please return to your landing pad!"

AN

The machine gun opens up.

Image

A constant series of critical successes(for both use and damage) result in the area being filled with lead.

Two VOl are cut down, as well as a civilian.

Immortal Raiders-Npc'd because no orders.

The Raider buggies head out.

Image

This one plows through a group of civilians, crushing one.

The driver attempts to do a drive-by decapitation,

He crit-fails and looses control of the vehicle(the guy in the back falls off as a result, and is disrupted)

The AN hero(I gave him a heroic response action, as his feat involved recruiting civilians, which you cannot do) sees an opportunity. He leaps into action.

He grabs the railing and swings around...

...Taking a shot...

And killing the driver. The buggy will keep moving.

The second buggy pancakes some civilians.

It heads right into Chief Nick's cone of fire.

The shotgun only deals 3 damage, which isn't enough to even scratch the raiders.

The dynamite isn't so strong. The explosion kills the raiders, a civilian or two, and damages the buggy.

The buggy continues on like Bonn-o-Tron.

This guy tries to attack the civilian, but the gun explodes

He grabs the dynamite and his comrade kills a civilian.



Civillians

The civilians move up. If they were disrupted, the pick themselves up.

Reinforcements

Some VOL riflemen arrive.

A warpig arrives as well.

The sewer entrance rustles.

YARR! The Space Pirates, played by Apollyon arrive. Their goal is to capture the Space Mafia briefcase and escape off-planet with it.

The second wave of attackers will arrive at the end of the next turn.

Civilian death counts may or may not be accurate.

SEND IN ORDERS. First to get them in gets a benny.

Your turn zero didn't say so. Really, it's a not too spectacular heroic feat, I believe in the US it's even law that if they're men (tick) and over 18 (tick) that they can't refuse. Kind of perplexed as to why you didn't actually follow through for no stated reason. Meh, oh well. secret Anorak

Anyway, awesome turn 1, let's crank up the carnage for the next few.
