Idea: Zombie Survival Forum Battle

Forgive me if this os the wrong place for this, but I recently had an idea for a different sort of Forum War: a survival game, like Call of Cthulhu or any zombie game, really. The idea is that each player gets one person to use, with multiple hit-points. When they die, you lose, so the last one standing wins the game. The set-up would be up to the host, but should contain plenty of tall terrain and weapons lying around. The host controls a force of say, 28 zombies and there are 7 or so players. Each character/player has various strengths and weaknesses, like the superstitious cop may start with good armor and weapons, but he fights worse when zombies are nearby. Also, players may kill each other to win, as is the spirit of Brikwars.
The real difference however, would be that each player, each turn is given four pictures of what their character can see to each of their sides and the end of turn pictures and stuff are only posted when the game ends, so the players only know what their fig would see and must make decisions based on that. This would work best in a city set-up, with buildings all over and zombies around every corner.
Just an idea.

If the people were all controlling one person each I think a grid-like pattern would be best.

It would allow the players to be able to do closer to what they really wanted to do if they could just say "I want to go to block E5 and do this" than "I want to go to that place by that thing".

So maybe a mall-like setting like that one guy did. Each "grid piece" could be a 16 by 16 baseplate size or maybe just a quarter of it, so a 4 by 4 size grid?

That's a brilliant idea, and I love it.

Perhaps 6x6, or 8x8? 4x4 is a little small, but a grid would probably work better than a system based solely on seeing four pictures of your surroundings. A mall would be good in that case because of the ability to make the tiles blend in with the floor, and there would be plenty of items lying around for the players to get.

The idea for a battle with only one player per player is old...I had a long time ago, when I was doing the "Persogoras".

But it didn't include zombies, so I guess you had great idea! :D

Thats a good idea, I was planning to do a commando mission where the I would take an overhead shot, but no pics of commandos, I would pm to user, and the defender would try to find them, but its similar with the pics of what can be viewed.
Still, good idea.

Can I reserve a spot?

As in hosting, or a player? If as a player, sure, because I'm building up a city for something like this, but it wouldn't be done until spring break or mid-February, what with school and all, but if anyone else wants to try this out concept out as a host, I'd love to see it.

Yes I would love a reserve spot as a player if you wouldn't mind.

Sure thing! When I finish up Brikhart, I'll start hosting. Progress can be seen in my Brickshelf gallery.
