Death Battle -- Day 5

Two more teams were eliminated this round. It's down to the wire now.

- Vigilantes -

The Black Crotox fired at one of the Aliens. He hit but the Alien's powerful armour (Rolled a 10 on a D10) deflected the shot.

- End Turn Vigilantes -

- Space Zombies -

These guys just took defensive positions.

- End Turn Space Zombies -

- Space Pirates -

Palomar turned the Spiffcraft around.

And headed towards the castle.

WTF!? Palomar rammed the Spiffcraft into the courtyard. The Zombies had lucky rolls and dodged the crashing ship, but the Alien directly in front of the ship didn't see it coming. SPLAT!!

However, despite his best efforts to hold on, Palomar was thrown from the vehicle. (Really sorry about this man but he rolled a total of 3 for skill when he gets 2D6 for it... D: Terribly sorry, I didn't think his luck could be that bad.)

That was the end of Señor Palomar.

- Assyrian Star Empire -

The last Star Commando - the commander - flew up on top of the castle in a final assault.

The commander took a shot at an Alien but missed...

So they instead attacked Zombie Lincoln who was lying on the ground in a prone position. Cheap shot, but the job had to be done. Zombie Lincoln is dead. Again.

Then the Trundlebus moved in and blasted the final Zombie back to the grave. The Space Zombies have now been eliminated.

- End Turn Assyrian Star Empire -

- Space Aliens -

These guys had an okay turn.

The last Alien shot at the Assyrian Star Commando, and made the kill.

She died still holding onto the OTC. The Assyrians are now down to just their ship.

Then the Alien called for /b/lackup.

One took the gun turret and fired at the Trundlebus, but its heavy armour blocked both shots.

Tis, merely a scratch, the Señor will return. Another time? Any chance I can play as the Captain if you chose to use him again please?

I just started reading this..is the spiffcraft what Spaceman Spiff uses? It looks like a grey version.

Yes it is Massam. An old AFoL, Mark Bedford (www.fleebnork.com) made a Spiffcraft in the early 2000's and the space community copied him. I personally have two of them one red, one grey. They both are at least 5 years old, perhaps 6, meaning the one in this battle here is probably older than anything else I fielded. My Longinus Corvette by comparison is only approaching 3 years old. I ordered firing on the OTC dude, how come I just stood there and got blasted when I could have taken a few potshots at him

You said to take defensive positions and fire if they came close, but my turn was after yours so it was impossible for that to happen. I mean if you had said go out and attack them, yea I woulda done that but you said take defensive positions.

Zombie Lincoln and the other zombie jumped the fuck outta the way of the Spiffcraft, landing them in prone positions. They couldn't just use a response action.
