Starting an army, any tips???

That was a kool! The only problem I had with it was that it was fed with only black minifigs...

I find it best that before you order parts use the lego digital designer to see what you can do with the parts you are buying

Do you guys seriously have that much against starwars? Cause i'm just joining, and thats mostly what I have for people I do have droids and mercs and stuff though

You don't have to care what we think, make a clone wars army if you want, and I'll flame anyone who pisses on your thread.

Nothing against Star Wars per se, just against totally unoriginal armies that are copied from magazines and such. And even then, I'd be willing to overlook that if you had an incredibly large army and cool creations

I will post my armies soon, I will try not to brag,
I do not have as-much stuff as some of you guys but I think I can manage....
now to prepare for Ragnablok

PS: most of my clones are modified and/or painted, and the rest of my army are mercs and droids and vehicles

My first army was Battle Droids. My Son's first army was a clone/storm trooper mixed army. Nothing wrong at all with Star Wars Figures and models. The key is to have fun, take pictures and show the carnage, and ignore 75% of what people post.

kind of funny star wars has pushed it's way to topic of the forum. my army consists of all four of the main starwars factions (rebels, storm troopers, clone troopers, and droids, of course.) the way i cope with things is each one has it's own military branch. like the rebels are the A.P.A. (Azshuran peoples army), the clones are the c.c.m.b. (clone combat military branch), droids are D.C.M.B. (droid combat military branch) and the storm troopers are the S.F.M.B. (storm front military branch). clones are great with artillary weapons, storm troopers are more for shock and awe or aftermath (like nuclear assaault/ aftermath), apa kind of acts like the meat sheilds, and the droids just kick ass.

EDIT:btw, i prefer to use the hoth style rebels, they seem a bit more fitting for what you'd imagine the apa to be

My first series of battle reports were Alliance versus Empire. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a custom SW faction. Just, yeah, boasting will not get you anything here.

Buying some battle packs and switching around some parts does a lot though. I bought bulk Stormtrooper battle packs when they were out and bulk of a lot of other packs. Switch the legs and torsos, add some headgear, and you have two awesome armies.

I'm a strong advocate of standardized troops though. I also think everyone should have multiple armies that are organized instead of just one huge, hodgepodge army. I don't see the fun in that.

I now have posted my army under the title X armory

sorry about the pix I didn't have good lighting I need to find somewhere in my house where I do, I will be updating it regularly once I can find out how I will have enough money to buy a real camera and lighting
