Nope, this is still cooler. The originality breaks up the monotony of looking at everyone's awesome tanks all week, so it becomes better. Much of the time creativity>what everyone else is doing, which makes things like this more enjoyable to look at.Colette wrote:A certain member named Brickviller would like to have a word with you.

C'mon, his Gertrude tank has such a ridiculously sized gun-that amount of dakka can't be trumped. The land ship is awesome but admit it- it could use moar Dakka.Zupponn wrote:Nope, this is still cooler. But it still is merely a tank, no matter how awesome it is. Why build a generic tank when you could have something like this?

Re: The Encyclopedia Britannia : Blue Sector Codex (SHDT Add
Thanks for all the C&C. This is probably going to be the last update in a while, as I'm going back to college tomorrow, but boy is it a big one.
A squad of T.L.A. troops scout the surface of their now-occupied homeworld. Hidden sensors have reported no Britannian incursions into this area, so they are fairly confident...
...until a single missile strike destroys their transport.
The troops are well-trained, and quickly redeploy themselves in the direction the missile came from. Suspecting an aerial threat, they call in support, and an Hr-37 streaks overhead at low altitude...
...only to get blown apart by an implausibly accurate burst of flak.
The T.L.A. soldiers hear the roar of turbine engines and look up. The silhouette of their mysterious assailant is the last thing they see...
The Vulcan bomber is Britannia's latest weapon in the war against the T.L.A. Although it can't match the speed of the enemy's infernally fast aircraft, its large wings and refined aerodynamics grant it exceptional agility for its size, and its nose mounted flak cannon allows it to annihilate enemy aircraft at long range.
In its current configuration, the aircraft carries two Skyflash air-to-ground missiles and one Grand Slam bomb on each wing. The missiles are primarily used to eliminate ground-based AA weaponry, while the flak cannon deals with fighters; the Vulcan is then free to deploy its massive Grand Slam bombs against enemy tanks, fortifications, or massed infantry.
With its huge wings, the Vulcan is as wide as a Conqueror-class land battleship is long.
The Vulcan's engine array is nothing to boast about, but it is reasonably fast and fully space capable.
Landed. The rear wheels share space in the bomb bay with the ordnance, which has made it difficult for me to put any really large weapons in there. I'll redesign the bomb bay a bit when I get back.
My heavy weapons infantry got something of a makeover. Their shields are now integrated into their weapons, and the Steam Gatling gunner has a proper steam-engine backpack.
Whole army shot: Three massive vehicles and about 9 minifigs with weapons... yeah, sounds about right.
