Hi all,
It strikes me that though I took these photos some time ago (about the time MFZ was set to launch), I never linked them here. The number of Alltimate Hardsuits I have floating around has increased. As always, generous props to Natalya who is responsible for original concept of the Alltimate Knight.
It may not be immediately apparent, but the design of the hardsuits in my collection has taken a notable change; the chasis and shoulder joints now follow Soren's Chub design. This has formed a more stable construction, the arms are more secure and don't fall off as easily, even if there is a slight loss of articulation.
The combat group has picked up some additional weaponry, including new rifles, repeaters, and tactical shields, and shoulder-mounted ordinance/blasters.
Some of the hardsuits are drones rather than human pilots; the group also now has a leader with pearl-gold accents.
For those who are interested click this -> link <- for weapon stats.
Just a quick upload before the holiday is full-blown.
Happy Manly Santa Day everyone,
~Rev.

The shoulder is these
shoved into these

These are now a main component in the torso (what the claws connect to):
And the torso connects to the legs with one of these

So it's basicaly a chub with simpler legs. I really like the hardsuits and the guns? Would you mind posting the stats for them? (the guns)

Not quite. The torso set-up is, the legs are, like you say, simpler, and the arms are quite unlike what you find on a chub: jointed elbows like Natalya's original design. Although for sure the torso set-up of the Chub fixed a stability problem i was having otherwise.Falk wrote:So it's basicaly a chub with simpler legs. I really like the hardsuits and the guns? I'll assemble a sheet or some photos to put down the weapon stats I'm using for the guns; most of them are pretty simple and follow 2010 guidelines.

I'm not a big fan of the shoulders your knights have. I think they would look better with these:

I like those shoulders better, too, but I am not sure what all pieces are involved, nor am I totally willing to overhaul the chassis again just yet. Will think about it.
Also, for Falk, OP updated with a link to my Blue Knight weapon stats sheet (link goes to a .docx).

Eh, I believe it involves one 1x1 brik with a hole and stud on the sides, and a 1x2 plate with a single stud on top. I'd just try and cover the current shoulders up with bigger briks instead of bothering with changing the entire torso.Rev. You guys realize I have an account here, right? You can just ask me. I might bite your head off, purely by reflex, but it's an option.
I think I have a breakdown pic somewhere, but yeah, it's a 1x2 technic brick, a hinge brick, and one of these, plus a pin/arm connector and the ball-jointed hand. Nice and simple.

I stole the arm idea for my mechs and put it on your chub base.Soren wrote:You guys realize I have an account here, right? You can just ask me. I might bite your head off, purely by reflex, but it's an option.
