Fight one! If there was a conventional war between the USA and the UK for some reason, I would predict that America wins, due to having the most powerful navy by far. Not that Her Majesty's Armed Forces wouldn't put up a hell of a fight. However, Armoury looks way cooler than Armory (or Armoory).

America lost in Vietnam because there was no win condition for Vietnam. Does it count as winning democracy for a group of people if you have to kill every last member of that group to do it?

Sounds like the default brikwars win condition.

Just to clarify,
@ Ham101 - Upon reading the entirety of the post, you'll see that I acknowledge that America won against the Germans, I know I'm incredibly ignorant from time to time, but internet forums have a habit of teaching you the military inadequacy of your country very quickly.

Time to run away from this nice little discussion of military provenance. Take me to the Bricks forum!

Actually, we Brits would have won the second world war without American help because Piltogg had already made the fatal mistake of attacking Russia. Now why on earth would he want to do a silly thing like that, for?

You only got dragged in by your own government into WWII because it goaded the Japanese Navy into attacking Pearl Harbour after sinking Japanese Merchant Shipping around the Pacific Rim for a couple of years using US Submarines (which you will only find out about if you bother to go trawling over your National Security Archives as this was declassified in July 2010).

Granted it would have taken us up to 1950 to do it, but we would have beaten Germany eventually...

Granted, England gets props for being the only proper country to ever lose to the French.

Britain couldn't have beaten Germany without her colonies. A stalemate however was possible.

I am not entirely convinced, simply because of Piltogg's mistake in attacking Russia. If it wasn't for that we would have been totally fucked... As it happens, this fatal mistake on Piltogg's part changed the course of the war to our favour even before America got involved.

As for our (then) colonies, I am grateful they did join in, but our treatment of the Kenyans after the war when they had served so valiantly in the Far East was disgusting.

Operation Overlord was a mostly British operation anyway. They tricked the Americans into hitting the hardest beaches, but for the most part it was their intelligence agency that did all the work to convince the Germans that the eventual western assault would come from elsewhere.

Said intelligence agency went so far as to drop off rubber tanks at another beach near Calais. Allied disinformation operations were pretty awesome.

Also, Britain had a "Department of Ungentlemanly Warfare." I mean, espionage doesn't get brikwarsier than that.
