The Orsator Contingency

I feel that, you know, maybe it's time to actually post some Lego without looking like an idiot, so here goes.

The Orsator Contingency was a special detachment made by some long forgotten empire to safeguard against the threat of extragalactic invaders. The views of the empire were far too optimistic and they no longer remain, so the soldiers have awoken from their long sleep to find themselves in the new and unknown Anno universe, unlike anything in their memories. They have immediately set to the task of conquering the backwater low-tech planet they have awoken on.

I'm sorry about the photos not being amazing quality and having weird lighting, I'm just not a great photographer, and don't have a good place to take photos.

Calar Ghorin is a decorated soldier and commander, and the leader of the Orsator Contingency. When in battle, he often dons the helm of a knight he defeated in single combat.

Image

A squad of veteran soldiers, and the only type of regular soldier the Orsator have, as they have yet to levy soldiers from the populace. Each have proven their skill in a dozen battles. Each squad is led by their Champion Sergeant, a soldier that has succeeded at a number of combat operations, and is accompanied by a Tactical Weapons And Technology (T.W.A.T.) Bot.

The elite specialists of the Orsator Contingency: on the left is a duellist, and on the right a jetpack assault soldier.

The Makkalan Interceptor, used to maintain an aerial superiority and target enemy vehicles. There are no other aerial vehicles currently used by the Orsator, as they were only equipped with Makkalans when they entered cryosleep, and have no advanced production facilities.

Image

The Korralin Light Tank, or "pocket tank" for its small size, is the only tank currently in use by the Orsator Contingency, for the same reason as the Makkalan. It is equipped with only light weapons and is more designed for fighting enemies or lightly armoured vehicles than other tanks.

As you are probably able to tell, I have no idea what I'm doing or how to write this, so suggestions are very welcome. Thank you for trawling through this :D .

Yeah, your links are bad and my guess is the permissions are set incorrectly. Flickr, brickshelf, and imgur are the easiest hosts to use.

I really do like the look of that larger gun the robot is carrying.

Updated with some more background, new (not really much better) photos and the Korralin "pocket" tank.

Not sure if the fighter is new, but it's a pretty good design for an interceptor. It's suffering a bit from "plate salad" on the wings so if you make a second pass at it, that's something I would try to clean up, either by getting more tiles in there, or just grouping the plates into more clean blocks.

I think you're off to a promising start here. The lore is more creative than just "blah blah generic star empire #403 looking to expand yada yada" which is nice and refreshing.
