They're also saying that he's a KENYAN NATIONAL, or a MUSLIM TERRORIST, or a MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, or a Piltogg EUGENICS MASTER. In fact I've heard every one of those on Fox news (and similarly well-researched claims about the other party on NBC).

This is because we live in a post-fact society. In the past, you would have been expected to be able to back up these allegations with some kind of research of facts, or at least to demonstrate that you knew what these words mean in the first place. Today? Not so much.

I'll tell you, I've lived in some pretty socialized countries, and you know what? They were pretty sweet places to live. It's just the Soviet ones that got nasty.
