Huston, we have a problem! Roger, we'll send a UNDF rapid response convoy over right away!

Alright, so I know I haven't posted anything in forever (due to school, dnd, Hitchhiker's Guide, etc.) but I finally built this army over break. Those of you who have remember my previous stuff should recognize most of this, but I promise that this is not as bad a ripoff as the Iron Beads were.

Image

The Heavy Shadow, the transport that allows the rapid response guys to be so rapid responsy. It has tough armor, two turrets, and room for ten troops or a truck.

Image

No, really. This monster is big enough to carry a truck into battle. Badass.

Image

It also has doors on the other side, just in case you happen to be left handed.

It is escorted by...

Image

A pair of Miraje MKII fighters. And yes, that is a j. Get over it.

Anyway, what makes these any better than the MKI version, you ask? One word:

Image

MISSILES!!!

Yup, each one carries FOUR MKII missiles, along with the two front cannons. Small, fast, and deadly, these are my most awesome airborn creation to date.

Moving on, here we have the troops, led by my sigfig.

Image

There are two main squads of troopers

Image

Each squad has two gunners, one crowd control trooper, a sniper, and an officer.

Image

There are also two squads of Commandos made up of Team CROSS recruits handpicked by MasterEcabob.

Image

Gamma Squad, consisting of Agents Snipe, Fiks, and Nives.

Image

Alpha Squad, consisting of Agents Scar, Lead, and Steel.

...And yeah, that's my army. Small, yes, but 17 makes them my next largest faction after the Iron Beards. Honestly, I think they could take on the beardies no problem. Then again, these ARE the first guys I ever made, so I'd probably be a bit biased towards them...

Anyway, with a new semester (read: easy classes) starting, who knows? Maybe I'll have a chance to do another Three Front War sized forum battle with these guys. Only time, it seems, will tell.

As if we care. More explosives!

The vehicles are superb, especially the transport. It's so different from what you would expect a transport to look like. By the way, does it fly, float, drive or hover?
The army is good, too. Nothing wrong with their numbers. I have even less for my factions.

The fighters are excellent. The dropship is also amazing for such a simple design. It'd be even better if it was stud-less.
Does james+burgundy love men? I'll let you decide.

The Black Box shuttle is good for what it does, especially the Jeep carrier. I only wish it looked a bit better. The fighters and the troops look great though.

I don't say any Megablocks, are you sure? Not that it matters, just curious. What I noted was the epée rapier from BrikArms was kind of bent, looks like it's was on it's way to breaking. It shows a weakness in the design (too thin) that goes against me ever buying any of them.

What, the bumpy 2x1's on the front above the cockpit? Nah, they're Lego, I'm pretty sure.

I've got some, and that excess plastic flash on the top is not a LEGO stamp, but where MegaBloks has cut the briks out of their molds.
I don't really mind about people using MegaBloks...
