Well I'm not too fond of using the ball joints in my larger creations, so I have a few of them & I am also lacking any robotic units, so...

The Golem Battle Droid Mk 1!

They are going to be able to be transported anywhere due to thier size. Gonna see if I can mount 3 onto the Warthog, to drop behind enemy line to cause some havoc.... This is my first version, so it's basically armed with a pair of chain guns, a rocket, a chainsaw, & a blade. It's still gonna go through a bunch of revisions(maybe mount a flamethrower...).

Oh here's a size comparison, when I feed them.....

*Edit added 5/13

And here's the mount disconnected...

Oh here's the Mark2, I replated the legs, & redid the left arm with a retractable arm & added a flamethrower....

Nice design there!
I have never been able to make any good robots my self
and especially in this size, it's pain.

Also the heads are excellent :D

You're lucky that's not an actual Assyrian or Natalya would turn you inside out in an instant

Either way, when I saw the title of this and your name I knew it was going to be epic, and it didn't disappoint. They look awesome, almost a little like the robots from the Starship Troopers Roughnecks series (the ones with a mind of their own, not the Marauders), which is awesome.

Thanks all.... If that minifig resembles an Assyrian it was purely coincidental....

Oh, the head I stole that from Silent-Sigfig's Ambassador

The CHAS robot. One of the better episodes.

 this is amazing. the proportions, the chunkiness, the head, it all comes together wondefully and will be a great support troop for the iron maiden :)

Like Brag, I also knew this would be amazing before I looked at it... I love well built mecha, and this one is great!

I also enjoy the stark contrast to the Alltimate Knights Natalya makes, as this one is much more heavily armored, and seems stronger. If I had any ball joints, I'd be copying this thing right now!

Hehe, indeed, just like last time :)

Cheers Talarius, indeed that was one of the better episodes, not coincidentally one of the ones I've managed to remember best!

Edit: I've just realized what I like best about them. They look like they want to give you a big hug, which is disturbing in the same way as Natalya's smiling gate of doom.

Actually I also built something with this design: http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... light=hk33

Very awesome for orbit-like cams

I think it's the squat chunky proportions that make these droids so appealing; - almost like a robotic jolly fat man which is scarey with their deadly purpose as a given.

God dammit I've just been humiliated. These things are just like my BADASS units, right down to your eventual plan of dropping them behind enemy lines from a VTOL (that was going to be the first thing I built when I got home for the summer), except bigger, more heavily armed, and awesomer. You used the ball joints very well, keeping them hidden in the structure and avoiding the spindly look that they force on most creations.

I like them. They look tough to take down. :)

These are oh so very awesome. I can't quite put my finger on why. And flamethrowers are ALWAYS a good idea.

Why do you give the peaches all the cool stuff! These are cool, as you said they're blocky but I like that, and the fact that you can make several of them makes it even better. I'm also working on smaller hardsuits, but those are much smaller :o
