This pulls off asymmetry quite well.
enders_shadow wrote:I think you should make one an opposite (left side and right are switched) and have them travel in pairs, that way both sides are heavily armored.
Now there's an idea!

Nice micro stuff, although all of the ships seem to be a tad small for the amount of DEATH that they are packing. Atleast in warhead scale... but maybe that's just me.

I'm not sure which scale I am using, if any. The amount of weapons does support Warhead's system though  You can never have enough guns when dealing with Immortals ;)

Either way, here goes the update:

The Neo-Prussian Empire is now allied with the Avalonians. Apart from a logical trade agreement, the Avalonians have agreed to help support the rebuilding of the Prussian navy in exchange for Prussian aid in retrieving their enslaved populace from the Inquistadores. The Empire cannot spare much troops, therefore the elite Ghost Division has been dispatched...

Image

One of the Elite troopers, a heavy.

Image

He's just an example; the Ghost Division is devised of all different kinds of specialists, ranging from explosive experts to close combat experts.

Image

Also known as Nighthelms and known for their ability at stealth, these troops are able to prevail where armies would fail.

Image

All hail the new Sky Marshal, Myrna. After excellent service in Operation Mastercutor, she's been promoted in order to replace the deceased Sky Marshal Ritt.

Image

With the helmet of the First Sky Marshal. With the Prussian navy damaged, and not needed for the time being, Myrna has been sent as an ambassador to Avalon.

Image

She also has a customized beamsabre. Myrna is brash and sometimes foul-mouthed, but also fearless, and she can definitely lead a team to victory.

Zum Sieg!

Me and Semaj are plotting the continuation of this saga of the Immortal War, I hope you'll be inspired to do the same 'cos right now it's hardly as if there's a war on at all

New helmet is win. Where did you get the visor, and how on Earth did you fit the thing to a Rebel pilot helmet?

Well, you need one of those old helmets to put the visor on (it's from yellow castle, I bought it off Bricklink, I have two of those visors in total) but I don't have them, save one without dimples, which doesn't help me much, so I tried to put it on a rebel helmet and it works great, more so because it goes together well with the torso :)

The Kingdom of Avalon looks forward to this new allegiance. We hope that our bond will become harder than steel in the coming years.

Ghost Division needs more tanks. Right now it's just a bunch of stealth specialists.

*Stealth squad approaches enemy base with tanks*

"HOLY CRAP THEY SPOTTED US!"

"How'd that happen??!!" :o

I agree I need more vehicles, but they will be Knightmare Frames (like smaller versions of the Gekka), not tanks. I'm probably going to try out LDD so I can build without losing hours searching for parts and then finding out I don't have them, should help with the overall design. When I can be bothered.

For this unit I was more thinking around the lines of Starcraft Ghosts than tanks anyway, but they should still do similar damage to a panzer division, lol.

if your main goal for building in ldd is to make building easier, don't do it. I've found I can never rotate or place the pieces how I want, and what time you gain from not searching for things you lose trying to make tings fit together. Also, they rely on slightly outdated and conservative connection ideas, so don't try anything cool in terms of snot; it won't accept it.

Alright then.

Image

The Gheistschlag is a heavy assault gunship.

Image

Usually it will be flown by a higher officer, like Sky Marshal Myrna in this pic, and act as a command vessel.

Image

I like using parts from the Aliens line for my Prussians.

Image

Armaments include 4 heavy cannons for bombarding, 8 missiles for long range assaults and forward lasers for ship duels.

Though not specifically made for transporting troops, it can hold some.

I almost didn't notice the front cannon on the gunship until I looked closer. It made the gunship like 100 times more awesome. :D
