Development series/New style vehicles
The Union introduced very much weapons, all using non-standarized parts. the Union’s military leadership realized that previous tank designs were often too complex and had resulted in poor production rates and mechanical unreliability Therefore the Chairman ordered a halt to AFV production until the Development series could enter production. The production is based on subsystems common to most Union New Style or Development series vehicles. The idea was to symplify production, reduce the number of elements in the AFV superstructures and allow easy interchargeability of parts on the battlefield. This standarization also means less costs are made when producing the vehicles and maintaining them.
D-15
The D-15 was the first vehicle of the Development series to enter production. It was to replace the previous light tanks of the Union. It is also one of the only tanks in the Union that is able to be dropped from an airplane and land with parachutes.
Armament
The tank is using a small 75MM gun, able to penetrate the armour of smaller vehicles. It was decided not to give it a turret to reduce the weight of the vehicle and to lower the silhouette, making it harder to hit. The gun can fire also rocket assisted shells in some cases, making it possible to attack heavier vehicles. Later an older version of the Unions infantry rocket launcher was added, since we had them stored in a warehouse
Engine
The D-15 uses a standarized engine of 350HP. This gives the tank speeds of around 80Km/h, 50MpH in open terrain.
Together with the speed, size and gun it can be a tough opponent for smaller vehicles to defeat, especially in larger groups or in the dense jungles of the Union.

Here's the tank with ground troops

Without troops

Back, showing the lights, and the engine exhaust

Side view. The new larger roadwheels will be on all Development series vehicles. Or at least I try, since they're hard to get for me.

Front, showing the light and the gun fully elevated. This tank uses a complete new design (ball turret) even tough it can only go up and down.

The top of the vehicle with the RPG launcher

The hatch (also standarized) can open to enter or leave the vehicle.

Another side view. Note that the vehicle does not has an interior due to the wheel configuration and the front plates.
