You lucky bastard you...

No man, that's a funny coincidence that makes sense considering our mutual interest in Military paraphernalia.
Now, if we met up on a forum dedicated to a Vorarephilia fantasy setting, THAT would be fucking creepy.
Kastrenzo wrote:C: The Battle droids are pretty much the main soldiers of my "Brown/Tan" Army, While the green is pretty much just a rag-tag group of partisans. The New Droid carrier set is alright, better than the old one, the major difference is the Droids, they're made of a different material, they have different parts *Different Right Arm* and they use actual Blasters now instead of the "Megaphone Guns, Most of my soldiers actually use megaphone guns"

The new Post Gray Shift droids are a minority in my droid collection, and I took all their weapons off to supply the minifig people. So I've just gone off by saying that they have wrist mounted weapons, Similar to the Super Battle Droids. Interesting enough, I no longer have any Supers, I had two that came with the -original- Republic Gunship model back in 2000 or 2001, and the plastic on them wasnt durable. SNAP
Ah, well I already knew about the new arms and I hear they aren't as strong as the new ones, but I really want to know what kind of plastic the current droids are made out of.
The last set I got was from right after the Grey Shift I think and they were shit.
Also, since I'm thinking about building a droid army, I want to make sure any extra droids I'd get won't just break on me.
Kastrenzo wrote:D. My vehicles aren't that special because I frankly didnt have a lot of peices to build them with. and many of them are just modified Lego Sets, Sadly the Goblin and Gremlins are just modified Stock sets, the Goblin from what I remember isn't even modified at all. I just found it in my basement Intact when I went downstairs yesterday. Also something to note, I mentioned in the OP, That I'm still in the process of switching to Brikwars, originally I played a different game with these, so with vehicles, some of them werent scaled properly and I was more concerned with getting the exteriors right than trying to build interiors.
I figured as much, but the Goblin and Gremlin aren't too bad...
Really, they're pretty good helicopter builds, so it makes sense to just modify them.

I think this is a fine-looking beginning force; perfect to start the gauntlet of brikwars. I look forward to seeing your skill and build's improve.

And, by the way, stock sets are a great way to start honing building skills. Seeing how shapes fit together, can be expanded, what doesn't work, etc. etc. Keep those copters around.

Now for the Second of Six armies.

The Kamaz Republic

The Kamaz Republic is a collection of systems from the Kilo Nebula, and has systems in the Zulu nebula. it has been a bitter rival of the Caspians since G.R 2004. Both the Kamazians and Caspians fought their first external war against each other, The Caspians won the first war, but in G.R 2006, The Kamazians started a second conflict with the Aid of one of their allies* and regained several systems that were lost in the first war. Caspia and Kamaz are currentley at peace, however it is likley that a third conflict may arise soon.

*To be introudced later, because the "Red army" actually did fight a lot of battles alongside an ally, against the Whites*

Soldiers from multiple divisions, each division is typically drawn from select planets, while a standard uniform exists, some divisions adopt their own uniforms.
Image

Soldiers from the Central Kilo Nebula region, Kamaz's largest systems, these are the standard uniforms of the Republic
Image

Soldiers from some of the Middle and Upper Middle Class systems, various uniforms have been adopted over the years

Another grouping of Kamazian Soldiers from Middle Class systems.
Image

A group of veteran infantry from the Core regions of the Republic. These battle hardened veterans have been allowed a greater amount of flexibility with their uniform personalization. In particular some of these troops now use a filtration helmet on a regular basis, allowing them to operate in hazardous enviornments.
Image

A team of infantry drawn from a Lower Class System in Republic space notorious for producing some of the most savage warriors and criminals in the region, these troops often divide their ranks between regular infantry armed with rifles, and soldiers who carry melee weapons to charge the enemy with. They are accompanied by two Kamazian officers
Image

Hyena General Purpose Vehicle
The Hyena is an amphibious light armored military vehicle that is unarmed and generally used for patrolling civilian districts in middle and upper class systems.
Image

Ferret General Purpose Vehicle
The Ferret is a less armored and more maneuverable counterpart to the Hyena, It is an upgraded civilian truck that is often only seen on lower class Kamazian Systems
Image

Wolf Attack Vehicle
The Wolf is a fast moving patrol/attack vehicle that has more armor than the Ferret or Hyena, and also has a roof mounted manned machine gun.
Image

Rozonov Infantry Fighting Vehicle
The Rozonov is a medium armored Infantry carrying fighting vehicle, it uses a Roof mounted Heavy Machine gun. The Republic's Military RnD have been developing a second version of the Rozonov, allowing more armor and more room for inside troops.
Image

Kodiak Heavy Battletank
The Kodiak is the single heaviest and most powerful battletank in the Tri-Nebula region, Heavy armored vehicles have been a keynote in Kamazian military doctrine, and in G.R 2009 the Republic fielded it's replacement to the Battlemaster, the Kodiak". in mid G.R 2009, It was decided that All Kodiaks would be upgraded with a higher velocity gun, and the signature bulldozing ram which was known to be able to knock out other tanks if hit hard enough, and completly flatten other vehicles.
Image

Gugaryn Starfighter
The Gugaryn is named after Yari Gugaryn, a pioneer in Kamaz's rise to the space age, being credited as the first minifig from the Kamaz home world to make it into space "And return alive and in one peice". It is fast moving, mounts reliable fast firing turbolasers, and is acknowledged to be tougher than most Space fighters in the Tri-Nebula region
Image

Lastly here are two images I forgot to put up.

Caspian Civil Protection Enforcer
The Civil Protection Enforcer is an armoured Police vehicle used in high risk situations. But is also seen patrolling city streets occasionally.
Image

Torett Rocket battery
Unlike the Large Dvor Cannon, the Torett's Rocket Battery is a well known long range artillery peice, it is in widespread use in many militaries and paramilitaries

These trucks are some simplistic, but nice looking. It reminds me of classic space.

The Kodiak and Gugaryn are also magnificient, but I would add a machine gun or something at the top of the tank to prevent soldiers from flanking it.

Although I fully support army creativity, these guys look extremely close to the Conquistadores or the Vol.

Well this army certainly has a nice color scheme.

The Rozonov good and the Kodiak is excellent...

...But the Wolf's machine gun mount does rub me the wrong way.
The Machine gun itself is brilliant in it's simplicity, but I just don't like the idea that the figures legs need to be taken off.
I know you're probably going for the whole "He's actually just standing in a gunners position", but it still irks me...
BFenix wrote:Although I fully support army creativity, these guys look extremely close to the Conquistadores or the Vol.
Dude, with the number of armies he's got and the limited number of Minifigs and accessories to fit their color scheme, there's bound to be some similarities!

Some of these Soldiers are up to 8 years old, I had never been on the Brikwars forums before. but there was bound to be similarities as many of my soldiers use common parts

That's what the little peice on the top of the turret is for, I just didnt' realize that the gun had fallen off when I took the picture

Now for the Last of the "Big 3" and the Third of Six Armies *The Blue Army has grown quite a bit since it's creation, almost big enough to rival the others, although it is almost entirley infantry* Today I'll be showing the Black army. Which I've named

The Volkan Democratic Republic

The Volkan Democratic Republic, or VDR is the principle body of the Rho Nebula of star systems. It was a peaceful empire until approximatley G.R 2004 When it's leaders elected to join the Kamazian Union in their war against Caspia in an attempt to seize multiple systems in the Rho/Zulu border regions, the attempt ultimatley failed as both the Kamaz and Volk f0rces were beat back by the Caspians and were forced to surrender multiple systems as part of the treaty. In G.R 2006 The Volk-Kamaz Alliance stuck again, this time utterly destroying the Caspians. however the Alliance split in G.R 2007 and the Tri-Nebula region was effectivley divided between the three major powers and multiple minor powers.

Despite it's name, the VDR became a Fascist Autocracy in G.R 2007, And since then has been waging an expansionist campaign on the southern fringes of it's territory, which has provoked a number of lesser factions to unite and resist.

No more typing. you just want to look at pictures anyway right?

All Infantry

I did some swapping before I took this picture, I made several of the units now look much more alike just by changing a few parts, the Caspians recieved the same treatment but I'll post that another time

Image

Volk Infantry

Image

Ozelot Attack vehicle
The Volk have continually failed to develop effective Light vehicles over the years. Much of their military had to be rearmed after the Kamaz-Volk Split, and many of the patents belonged to the Union, The Ozelot is a fast moving but poorly armoured military patrol vehicle. Some variants feature a roof mounted remote machine gun, while others rely on a trooper to use his own weapon from the bed of the truck
Image

Auditi T10 General Purpose Vehicle
The Auditi T10 is a general purpose vehicle for Volk military units manufactured by a civilian vehicle company, It is unarmed and lightly armored, usually only used in non combat situations
Image

Kanguru Infantry Fighting Vehicle
The Volkan Kanguru is an oddity among IFVs. As it is more of a heavily armored gun truck, offering little protection for onboard troops. however Volkan military doctrine often involves mechanized infantry and requires them to be able to dismount quickly. The Kanguru uses a remote controlled roof heavy machine gun
Image

Vorschlaghammer Battle Tank
"Vorschlaghammer" Meaning Sledgehammer is a particulalry misleading name for the VDR's main battletank, as it is meerly an upgraded Battlemaster, the Vorschlaghammer is slightly less armored than the Caspian Jaguar, and Much less than the Kamazian Kodiak. However the Volkan Vorschlaghammer is a much easier vehicle to produce, and is often deployed in greater numbers than rival factions
Image

Mastodon Assault Vehicle
Where the Volk have failed in developing effective Tank and IFV platforms, they posess a monster of an Assault vehicle that fills both roles. The Mastodon Troop Crawler is a very large IFV that can transport up to a dozen troops with decent crew comfort. It is armed with two Medium Cannon's. Two belly mounted machineguns. a roof mounted twin machineguns. and in assault situations can be upgraded with a plasma blaster on it's side that is effective at taking down hardened structures
Image
Image

Lastly. I'm not going to post them all right now, but I'm going to start showing some of the individual small arms,
Here is a shot of several Machineguns, In the picture you will see Light Machineguns, General Purpose, and heavy machine gun variants.
Image

Next up, the Protox Covenant *Blue*

I'm drawing alot of similiarities between the VDR and Fascist Italy, because this army doesn't really look as tough as the Wehrmacht or the SS, but still seems reminiscient of NationalSocialist germany.

Meh that's pretty much the idea, I never really planned them out when I made any of these, I'd just sit back a few years after making them and then start thinking "what do these remind me of" White was typically a western country, Red typically Russian or Soviet, and Black was typically a euro or german, but it's really just colors.

Also something to note, back in the day the Red and Black armies typically fought on the same side against a combined White/Blue and sometimes Green alliance. so the vehicles were shared, but the Volk and Kamaz factions are quite smaller now because of the split.

Frankly I havent got enough propulsion peices like tracks and wheels to be able to make the things I wanted, the tracks that are on the VDR and Caspian tanks were the only ones I had in any number... which was a pathetic 4. the large tracks on the Kodiak I actually stole from a shop class in middle school like 6 or 7 years ago
