I'm excited that there's about to be a new server. Plus, Ross returned from the warp!

Yes, ores should be generated and scattered a la the standard algorithms.

Not sure why you crashed. Also, yep. Forgot to move the spawn point to somewhere less dangerous. My bad. Try this one.

EDIT: Just caught your edit. Going to get the island version ready to go, few minutes.

EDIT EDIT: Here you go. Didn't do anything with trees or other special stuff, so it's rather plain.

EDIT*3: Mine is crashing every time. Damned WorldPainter update probably has something to do with it.

I tried importing the whole thing into a world using MCEdit... The program is in heaven now. As cool as the crater is, It looks like it is going to have to be abandoned for the moment. If we do a map rotation down the line, getting it working will to top priority, however, this does mean...

Yeah, same here. MCEdit wouldn't even open the map. It just never registered the selection, like it was trying to tell me "nope, that ain't happenin' buddy."

I've no idea what's up with the whole process, its worked just fine in the past. I can open previous maps I've done following the exact same workflow, so like I said, I'm willing to bet the WorldPainter update borked something.

In the last days of the FELC, hushed whispers spoke of Admiral Ross_Varn's final battle, as he launched his personal cruiser, the Tilted Saber, into the great void known as Uni-Verse-ity...

Glad to see we're still able to get shit done. Let's do this thing.

Not to hijack the thunder of dilanski's project, but I'm seriously considering setting up a Creative server for people to faff around in. Would anybody even use it besides myself?

I might. Depends on what kind of stuff we'd be faffing around with.

What I would probably try to do is set up Multiworld, so that we have the general creative world that everyone gets funneled into, and then a Flatlands world for testing and proof-of-concept builds, and then a pristine Event world where we only build when there's a precise plan for the build, so that after a few months we have a world that is wholly an "art map," if you will. A build showcase or somesuch.

At least, that's my idea.

Then again, we should probably just K.I.S.S rather than going whole hog. So at least for the beginning, it would just be a standard Creative server, possibly with its own Flatlands area somewhere and a Home/Warp plugin.

lawmaster wrote:Events- PvP tournaments, mob wave survival, and gauntlets were all done on previous brikwar servers and turned out pretty well with prizes being awarded for survivors/first place.

PvP- Is pretty good, it is hard to convict someone of stealing due to the fact it could be a number of people though, Lockette would solve this.

Plugins- As said just before Lockette sounds good.

Community building- A mibbit group would be good.

Yeah, remember Taz on the old server Law?
