really? i'm keeping my old world. I know where the edge of my generated world is and it's not far from my minecart network, i'll get new chunks and link them. massive terrain spike aside.

the terrain generation is being changed for 1.8 the borders will look odd between old and new chunks.
and old seeds will generate completely different worlds
