Sure, as soon as the word "forums" appears in a google search there are automated programs running all over the world that find them and try to start accounts.

Just kicking them doesn't sound very effective... How about poison gas?

Bah, poison gas. Spammers don't breathe. Nor do they sleep, eat, have a life, etc.
However, they make some wicked moonshine.

no NO! make a fake forum and as soon as you find a spammer make him join that forum that way all the spammers will come together and spam happely, so now everybody is happy =D or we could just burn them
