Even less harmless. If you do however have a reasonable amount of sulphuric acid i'd suggest to get some fluorite, a mineral that should be obtained easily. Combine the two and you get fluoric acid - which is really nasty. What was this thread about again?

Due to the inherent properties of explosives i strongly suggest not to try to make them at home.
In a manly lab incident some years ago involving chlorate, carbone, a little bit too much sulphuric acid and a destroyed steel spatula i was lucky not to loose one of my fingers and not to be expelled from the lab course. But the loudness of the bang was well worth it.

our chairs never were the same after that.

also you are right, fluoric acid should work better, if only because it is highly poisonous and easily penetrates the skin. then again, nitroglycerin ain't too hard to make right...

Ah-Ha! Found it! My old recipe for Nitrogen Tri-Iodide. HEhehehehehehehe! Made from household chemicals, it's safe when wet but when dry it has a 90% chance of exploding when exposed to the SLIGHTEST vibration, like people talking or a fly landing on it, or so it says in the book. Got it out of an old Cyberpunk RPG supplement. Could be a crock but weh-hey! Now to start buying up lots of cleaning products and giving it a go. I can somehow use the drying process as a very slow detonator, hmm. You can almost here the alarms going off in the Internet can't you.

I joined for the violence, uh, oh yeah and Police Wumin (in uniform) are always gagging for it too. And it's a great way to meet young Nurses.
