Can't a group of African Americans play rock music without being linked to Jimi Hendrix? They were inspired by Alice Cooper as a matter of fact, and took up instruments after The Beatles first played on the Ed Sullivan Show. No link to Hendrix whatsoever except for skin tone.

Never really saw Living Color as metal, just (alternative) rock.
