Battle for the Rainbow Demon

Here are the results of my first solo battle:
(note: captions are always under the picture they belong to)

Image

A community of pirates, traitors and rascals are building a SHIP called "Rainbow Demon". They are blissfully ignorant of the things to come.

Image

A Briktopian squad on a seek and destroy mission discovesr the construction yard and immediately commence their attack.

Image

The rocket blasts a grove.

Image

The Briktopian squad dismounts from the helicopter and seeing they need way more firepower here their officer calls for reinforcements.

Image

Noticing they are under attack the SHIP builders scramble to defend themselves. The traitor grabs a long axe and one of his bodyguards, a hired mercenary, readies himself for the Bricktopian onslaught.

Image

Meanwhile on the other side of the camp a Krude Konstruktion Kingdom strike squad arrives. Their mission: find and capture the traitor (who had actually stolen the plans to the SHIP from the Kingdom prior to this battle).

Image

They disembark and take positions.

Image

A Briktopian trooper makes his first kill and the terrified crane driver bails out.

Image

The other trooper misses the driver but his officer shows him how it's done by burninating him.

Image

Image

There goes the bodyguard.

Image

In return the traitor decapitates the killer of his guard.

Image

The pilot of the Rainbow Demon grabs one of the blasters from the dead bodyguard and his badassness rears its head for the first time, killing another Briktopain trooper.

Image

On the other side the guards of the armory manage to cut down a Deadly Spaceman of the Krudes.

Image

The answer follows swiftly.

Image

They make short work of the Rainbow Demon's engineer, too and advance further.

Image

Briktopian reinforcement arrives: a mech and the CC Troopers.

Image

Thingsare not working out well on the left flank for the Briktopains. Or the pilot is very lucky. Trying to shoot him the trooper fumbles his weapon and drops it while the officer's flame thrower thingy decides to break apart in his hand rather than to burninate any further.

Image

Things are going better on their right flank where the traitor goes down.

Image

The mech fires at one of the mortar cars but misses.

Image

Second kill for the badass pilot.

Image

The second bodyguard tried to bypass the Briktopian attack but had problems handling his vehicle and ends up in an most unfortunate position.

Image

The result is devastating.

Image

Pirate slices down another trooper.

Image

The mech makes short work of one of the mortar cars.

Image

A defender brings down the Krude officer...

Image

...but cannot enjoy his vistory for long. Meanwhile a spaceman found an Orange Transparent Chainsaw!

Image

The heli and the Red Tub duke it out and the latter severely damages the helicopter.

Image

The mech steps in to support the heli but missed its shot, again.

Image

After killing the Briktopian officer the pilot turns in blootlust towards the CC Troopers but this time his shot bounces off their armor.

Image

The Deadly Spaceman manage to bring down the mech with combined fire from their heavy plasma rifles. The legs prooved to be the weak spot of the hulking mech.

Image

The Krudes's deadly spacemen finally brought down the badass pilot and his pirate minions and even the armored CC Troopers could not withstand the combined might of a deadly spaceman and an OTC. The Red Tub brought down the helicopter, too (not shown).

Victory shot!

I weep for the loss of your soul, and your limbs

As you have learned, deadly spacemen do not like being insulted torso boy.

I weep at the fact that a large, yellow-and-black, highly explosive missile went unexploded for the duration of this battle.

You are absolutely right on this and there was even more explosive stuff around like the Rainbow Demon's reactor core, several rockets, fuel tanks etc.
However to my defense i must say that i played alone and could not come up with an entertaining way to make it go boom. I am sure it would have been different with a second player.

It never occurred to you to strap it to one of the mini-figs heads and have him nut people to death... for shame.

Doesn't one of the maniacs have a bomb on his head, Warhead?

Yeah, Mean Machine Angel (2000AD character from Judge Dread)... he also has a dial on his head that he can turn to increase his murderious rage and an interchangable arm with a claw or gun. His skull is made from the hardest material in existance too. Orange Transparent Brikonium (or what ever it is in the Wiki). He likes to headbutt stuff... a lot.

Possible methods for detonating:

1) Minifig A bullrushes Minifig B onto the detonator
2) Hero C uses heroic feat to pick up said missile and hit his opposite number on the head with it
3) Minifg A shoots missile with
-pistol
-RPG
-FLAMETHROWER!!!1!!!!1!!!!one!!!

Hm, let's hope Santa brings destructive creativity this year round. I am in dire need of it apparently.

Eh?.. Not after that battle you don't. You just haven't been exposed enough to our... mentality, long enough to bring the acceptable level of Destructive Chaos to it's full potential.

Will we be seeing the rainbow demon in future battles?

Those heavy troopers looked cooler than they fought... well I wouldn't want to drag a chainsaw into battle against smiling maniacs wielding laser guns myself, tbh.

Good battle.

It has be de-constructed by the deadly space men already. It was a simple design and could easily be rebuild though. Buuut i have heared rumours being whispered about something called "Rainbow Demon II".
