2011-06-12 : The Fall of El Papa

Post by morganm » Mon Jun 13, 2011 9:48 pm

Well... he finally beat me... Maybe I shouldn't have let him have that many more units than me? Oh well; it was fun and pure mayhem!

We spent the weekend before setting it up. Finally got to play this weekend. It actually spanned two days! I think this was our largest battle to date. I had 26 guys on my side and he had over 30. By the second day I was wondering where all these guys were coming from... I suspect foul play while I wasn't in the room but I have no hard evidence =) We didn't really count off our armies; just built some shit and had at it. Used every single fantasy guy we had plus he used a bunch of space stuff.

Epic Moments:

- My son named one guy "Harry Skywalker" because it was a Luke Skywalker minifig but he had a wand and was riding a flying broom.

- One of my guys was a peasant with a fishing pole and no armor. He ended up killing several guys in armor, picking up weapons and armor the whole way, and turned into a total badass. Took a whole squad to take him down... there's a pic of his epic death... bunch of ogres and other guys surrounding him and blood everywhere; can't miss it.

- He used a stupendous feat to turn over my catapult and kill it's two operators... it was pretty eipic to us =)

Sorry they aren't really in order for some reason... oh well.. does it really matter? It's not a turn-by-turn synopsis of the battle =) I just took some shots of it all setup and them some random shots as we went when it seemed like something totally awesome happened.... usually when someone was greased!

Let us set the stage for Epic Awesomeness:

Sounds like a blast, great job! :D The pics don't seem to work for me though.

Mini-Warhead has been itching to get another battle in... since he beat me last time. I'll need to set some time aside.

Isn't "El Papa" Spanish for "The Pope?" Is there a pope somewhere in this battle that I didn't notice?

In the first pic, to much epic in such a tiny space. Good job
