Love the last picture, although all I could hear was "looks like meat's back on the menu, boyz!" But truly, is that not a warcry of a job well done?

Round 1 Fight 6

RuneKnight (Zahru) vs. Vampire Count (Rev. Sylvanus)

Image

A RuneKnight on a mighty quest stumbles upon an abandoned jousting ground. Who leaves a jousting ground in the middle of nowhere? ((Also, bloody cults.))

Image

The Vampire Count on the other side is thinking the same thing.

Image

Instinctively, the sworn enemies attacked.

Image

My dice must truly hate Zahru... The RK is not only hurt (1-0) but also disrupted.

Image

The Vampire braves the barricade...

Image

... and chops down on the momentarily defenseless Runeknight. '2 hits, ah-ha-haaa!'

Image

The RuneKnight for ces himself back up and attacks with his sword, forcing the Count to make a sound parry.

Image

The Count attempted Life Leech, but the RuneKnight stood firm.

Image

In a final effort the RuneKnight used his Rune of Smiting, but 1d6+1 is a laughable amount of damage to a Vampire. All weapons were used, thus the Knight... er... collapsed due to his injuries, let's say...

Image

"BWAHAHAHHA!!!"

----------

Is it just an impression or have RuneKnights started sucking total ass? They used to rock, nowadays all they seem to do is get owned and look stupid

Hey, at least the Westeron rendition of the RuneKnights looks nice, right? I have 2 currently and they'll serve as Urban Guard commanders, not yet sure if I'm going to refer to them as RuneKnights though. It took me a long while to put these figs together but I haven't been able to get my paws on more crown knights, whatever's still available of them is just too darn expensive. Such a shame too, 'cos what a great line the Fantasy Era was.

Yep, and even if you can find a set for an - more or less - okay price, the shipment costs will push it over the edge.

So if another person joined does that mean I could join in? Because if that is the case I'll use captain Awesome's son, Captain Awesome 2. He is just a space police minifig with the red bangs head, and if possible a bullet proof vest.

Well, this is Stage 1 of the Deadliest Minifig, which means they're all Fantasy units from the different armies this forum has, to avoid knights getting torn to shreds by huge laser cannons ;) I might do Stage 2 for Scifi units at one point, even though that'd be problematic and is not going to happen any time soon...

As the victor, I felt similarly; a win, but not a satisfying one :? . Oh well.

I even gave the RuneKnight the advantage without realizing it because I forgot to add the bonus charge die to the vampire's first hit, and again when I added +1 damage to the rune of smiting. Other than that, they were pretty much equal, the RK just had shit luck.
