Eh... I feel like we'd need to be more melee-specialized for a harpoon cannon to be worthwhile.

Well, there is always a use for these things.
When where and how remains to be seen.
Also, this vote is incredibly close this time around. It's only been about 10 hours so far and we are split between missile and grenade launchers, with other options coming up a close second.

Harpoon cannon is way cooler.
What can you do with a missile launcher/minigun?
Shoot people.
What can you do with a harpoon cannon?
6: Pull People towards you.
7: Pull yourself towards people.
8: Hook too stuff and swing around like Tarzan.

10: Scaling things like weird penis
Of course, If I had My way it would have 4 harpoon launchers and be a spider-mech.

It seems to me like the main things we need right now are long-range firepower to deal with snipers and some sort of anti-armor weapon for killing heavy units. I'm voting for plasma cannons on both shoulders.
Also, with a minigun you can:
6. Shoot one person a whole bunch of times
7. Shoot two people many times
8. Shoot three people several times
9. Shoot four people a few times each
10. Shoot five people.

I totally would've voted for spider-mech had I not missed the first weapon.
Also, you can totally pull a building down on top of an enemy with a harpoon gun. Also, ripping mechs limb from limb at long range is an amazing idea. You guys don't understand the potential of the harpoon.

I guess you could use the miniguns as makeshift drills after harpooning something.
Brickwars: the only tabletop wargame that allows the units to have sexual intercourse with each other, produce offspring, and then use said offspring as Size 1 Explosives.

Yeah, harpoons are a lot like Slash Harkens from Code Geass, which are really useful. I voted for a grenade launcher though, so it's too late to turn back.

In fairness, if we were to do this over again I would vote OTC + Double Shoulder Harpoon + Drill. But we decided to go the dakka route this time, so we should probably stick with guns and launchers. Given that we've built a relatively slow mech, snipers and long range artillery seem like a major threat, which is why I voted for the plasma gun. That 'Congo Hunter' enemy seems especially dangerous.

Alright folks, laser cannon is the clear choice, the min guns lay down a rain of suppression fire and the lasers seal the deal

Plasma is more powerful, though. It has a lower rate of fire, but we already have enough dakka from the miniguns.

Double Grenade Launchers it is then. I figure that if we can't hit the LRM units at long range, we can at least cover-camp while pelting our enemies with grenades.
