I'd suggest we go for the underslung missile launcher, so the mech has some long range, anti-armor capability.

Be patient guys, this thing is going to have 4 hardpoints. Anyway, I vote missile launcher so we have something to use against armored targets.

It seems like the vote is more evenly spread this time around.

Interesting, veeeeery interesting.

For future reference... will we be able to mount underslung weapons on the other two hardpoints?

In a slightly different form, yes.

I voted minigun because DAKKA DAKKA.

Since we can't have four harpoons, I'm probably just going to try to get four miniguns on there.

Looking ahead, we still need something to kill tanks, heavy mecha, and other large units. I vote either dual plasma guns or a harpoon launcher and a bolt cannon. Of course, we'll probably end up with quad miniguns at this rate... ah well.

I considered the bolt cannon. I ended up voting for grenade launcher. Lob is a bust ass ability in any wargame. Plus, explosions. What's not to like? I'll vote it again too. Maybe bolt cannon or missile launch for the other. The thing is heavy and slow, so it should be able to lumber into medium range, taking the hits along the way, and open up with its dual minis. With homing missiles, we can eliminate priority targets early to keep from getting sniped. With grenade launcher, we eliminate terrain difficulties where our dual minis can't score LOS.

For the next two weapons, I'm definitely voting harpoon and OTC, because it's still capable of killing heavy armoured units while being infinitely more badass than a rocket launcher. Although in the end it might make more sense to move those to the arms and the miniguns to the other two mounts.

In the age old question that makes all true brikwarriors positively tremble and quiver with anticipation . . .

Dakka?

MOAR!

The current layout is thus

HEAVY - ASSAULT

Code: Select all
Step down 1 die on speed.
25% bonus to Armour.
Step up 1 die on all defence based rolls.
Allows 1 Extra Heavy Weapon (from standard of two on a Medium, and only one for a Light).

Automatically equipped with two small machine guns (In the chest, treated as 2x pistols for the sake of combat).
25% bonus to range
Step up 1 die on all attack based rolls.
Allows 1 Extra Heavy Weapon (regardless of other class choices)

Chest Machine Guns (x2) -
Code: Select all
Medium-Short Range
3-30 Damage
No Ammunition penalty (does not need to reload)

Right Arm Minigun -
Code: Select all
Medium-Short Range
11-60 Damage
Can split damage between 1 to 5 targets per attack

Left Arm Minigun -
Code: Select all
Medium-Short Range
11-60 Damage
Can split damage between 1 to 5 targets per attack

The selections and voting for the Right Shoulder Weapons will be coming up in a short while today, when I can get my own shoulder to stop hurting.

We begin voting for Shoulder weapons.

We are voting for the RIGHT SHOULDER WEAPON, everyone gets one vote each, 24 hours as previous.

Image

SHOULDER MISSILE LAUNCHER
Launches multiple missiles with homing warheads, ensuring no enemy can escape.

SHOULDER MINIGUN
Lock and load, the minigun is the weapon of choice for those whom the words "target rich environment" and "spray and pray" often go in the same sentence.

SHOULDER RAILGUN
A horrifying weapon capable of one shotting enemy mecha, but has next to no ammunition.

Image

SHOULDER GRENADE LAUNCHER
A medium range grenade launcher, it arcs its shots to fire over cover and has a slight advantage over handheld launchers due to the angled nature of shoulder hardpoints.

SHOULDER PLASMA CANNON
A long range plasma cannon, devastating to all targets, but slow firing and prone to overheating.

SHOULDER LASER CANNON
An energy weapon that has the capabilities of both RIFLE and SNIPER RIFLE, at the sacrifice of stopping power.

Image

SPECIAL ADDITION - SHOULDER HARPOON CANNON
An aftermarket harpoon cannon that can impale foes and then drag them towards you with its high tensile tether. Recently added due to high demand of the strange new "Harpoon Cult"

The options are smaller for shoulder weapons, but they do get additional bonuses that are "Behind the scenes" so don't worry about other options for the moment, we still aren't done on voting yet.
