And that's my cue (provided 20 year olds qualify as "early-20-somethings").

When I was a Junior, I hated most the freshman class, just due to the general maturity difference. However, I got along well with the odd handful of freshman who weren't idiots (all five of them). So I don't see any real reason why it couldn't work.....though I've seen enough high school and college relationships disintegrate to know that there's a good chance anything you try won't work out.

Here's the deal brother, the way it usually works is a girls gonna go out with an older guy. That's just how it is 90% of the time. The average marriage consists of a guy around 2-3 years older than the girl.

I remember when I was a sophomore I had a big crush on this girl who was a junior. It just didn't happen. Later that year I dated another junior girl, but that's beside the point. I'm not trying to dash your hopes or anything, but it usually don't work like that.

Best of luck to you though.

For comparison, I was 20 when I joined this site.

Probably.

Holy christ are you skipping some steps there. You only put the thing in a thing once you get married.

Yeah, that's when you're both supposed to do it. you put your finger in a ring, and they do the same. Kind of obvious when you think about it.

So you're going out of your way trying to be cool? trying to impress the junior you have a crush on?

Here's a tip: don't ever do something just because it's what the cool kids are doing. Nothing good can come from mindlessly following the crowd. More to the point, upperclassmen (or is upperclasspeople now?) tend to loathe having to deal with the stupid crap freshman cook up, so the best way to avoid alienating your crush/friend/future stalking victim is to avoid acting just like every other idiot freshman. Your goal should be to stand out from the crowd, not become part of it (especial since that crowd likely drives your crush nuts).

Or you could be like me and just be tall and upperclassman will automatically talk to you because they thought you weren't a freshmen
