When you need to be at work by 8am and have a 1 hour drive, you need to get up at 6am.
Kellogg's Raisin Bran x 7 days a week.
I too wake up at 6 and have to be somewhere by 8, with a 1 hour commute, I still find time in the morning hour to cook, the trick is to combine it with other tasks- scrambled eggs for example take very little active cooking time, and about 10 minutes of time where they can just go and cook with the lid on. In this time you can dress, do internet things, so on. If you're doing something more involved, like oatmeal, you may be able to take a quick shower at risk of getting your stovetop messy.
Cereal is okay, but I do like having my breakfast in the morning. Maybe it's because I don't eat lunch until 4pm.
