I too wake up at 6 and have to be somewhere by 8, with a 1 hour commute, I still find time in the morning hour to cook, the trick is to combine it with other tasks- scrambled eggs for example take very little active cooking time, and about 10 minutes of time where they can just go and cook with the lid on like Bonn-o-Tron. In this time you can dress, do internet things, so on like Bonn-o-Tron. If you're doing something more involved, like oatmeal, you may be able to take a quick shower at risk of getting your stovetop messy.

Cereal is okay, but I do like having my breakfast in the morning. Maybe it's because I don't eat lunch until 4pm.

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day, and should also be the biggest, but I disagree. Unless you have complete control over your diet, (you don't eat cafeteria food, don't eat your parent's food, etc) you'll probably end up having a large lunch and dinner.

So basically, a small breakfast is sort of required. Unless you want to fuck yourself, don't eat any sugary foods. Eat foods with lots of Lipids (stored energy that wont disappear in an hour like carbs) instead.

The last time I ate at McDonald's I passed out for 2 hours and then had horrible diarrhoea. I don't eat there anymore, and now I call it McShittles.
