But anyway, I'd recommend going with a "troops only" match. That way, it's always move 5 and roll a die. It's what I do with all of my friends' first games.

well, i remember my first match(and my opponents first match)

we just battled it out with two groups of knights and skelletons etc and an undestructable castle
also we DID use stupendous feats,
of which we didn't know we had use them
and simply said well thats kinda difficult you'll have to throw higher than uhmm 12 to do that. we had loads of fun doing so.
and conjuring up more and more wacky uses for our stupendous feats eventually made half a TIE fighter appear. with a dead pilot in it.

anyways, if you do decide to use the main rules, or the 2001 rules, I think you should avoid vehicles as i think they will add a lot of complexity to the game. but stupendous feats can be so much fun
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

I wouldn't use any CP and I'd just try and keep it basic. don't go using all the extra rules n stuff, just the basics

Well, like I said, we're using the Chapter Q section, so it won't get beyond basics. Not until at least her third or fourth game.

Alright, short and simple answers.

1: No CP.
2: One Hero each. DON'T KILL HERS!
3: Use Midevil minifigs with blasters and shovels.
4: Gloat at first, then secretly LET HER WIN! Nothing feels better than beating a complete jerk.
5: Follow the K.I.S.S. rule. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Then use 'em.
They're free.
Use of any others will cost $5 a piece, though.

i thought the kiss rule was to party everyday if and only if you rocked and rolled all night?

Yeah, you forgot to hyphenate. The requisite method of KISS partying should be "E-ve-ry Day." This is specifically distinct from merely "everyday" partying.
