It's been a while since my last post here about Atlanta. Is there anyone new in town?

Face it, we are all damned (or blessed) to live far away from each other. :(

Give it a few months, Nat. I may or may not end up somewhere close. :P

I just spent the last week manning the Lego booth at Comic-Con, and let me assure you it's 100% blessing. The thing about Lego fans in the physical world is that there's no button to ban them, what a nightmare.

Hey Stubby! Is it anything like walking into a Games Workshop store and being harangued by the biggest bus load of some of the most tragic nerds you've ever met?

I was keeping an eye out for the American News Media, just in case you rampaged and shot some. Glad you stayed calm and survived, mostly intact. Has your boss told you same time next month yet? :D

I love to just go to the closest store (Victoria) and harass the guys there. They're so socially inept!

I realize nerds are the same all over the world. It sucks that ours are only interested in building trains though...

Yeah, it's like that. Except there are 175,000 of them.

My boss is already plotting to send me to more cons. But not the fun ones like PAX -- random European ones in non-English-speaking countries instead. Have I ticked her off somehow and I don't remember? I need to check my notes.

You shouldn't have turned her down when she asked you to sleep with her. Or if you already have, you should have let her finish first instead of going for the gold alone, remember, there is no "i" in team.

More Cons, poor Rayhawk... Bwah-hahahahahaha! *cough* Urm, sorry.

175,000 Nerds in the one location... we need a device that measures the intensification of the nerdage output. As it is, just how close they came to ripping a whole in the spacial tolerance field of the universe is anyone's guess.

@Capt Zipps: Yeah, it's a laugh riot. I find having a frozen rictus grin and a thousand yard stare helps fend off most. Of course nothing says fuck off and die better than a penned on note on the forehead saying Fuck off and Die. I always get attacked by the one Nerd that can't take a hint, no matter how unsubtle I'm being. The one with the crazed helter-skelter eyes and the loud voice that shouts and doesn't pause for breath. They are always Space Marine Players too.

There is a "me" though.

Guess not.

I wouldn't really consider myself a nerd. Maybe a little but there are some who are semi-normal and I'm still less nerdy than them. Though I did have a really strong Sailor Moon streak for a while there... That's a (mostly) girl's version of nerdy. Girls aren't expected to choose the same opportunities for expressing their nerdiness, but we have our own which definitely are on par with tabletop gaming and Magic.

Examples: FanFiction.net, the Twilight saga, Feminist web comics, Elegant Gothic Lolita...

I was so disappointed to find out you were wrong. It's just a bunch of Mana pictures.

Indeed. At home, using these keywords I have not managed to get something raunchy either.
