We were aiming for this year's summer, right? Epic Procrastination, engage!

This topic requires some seriousness and good planning since it involves travelling and staying at least for a weekend or so in a foreign country.

Well it is summer now so you better get to it. IMO it looks like BrikWars is not popular enough yet for this kind of event. I have probably played more BrikWars games than 95% of the rest of you but in total I estimate that have played fewer than 20 games. Let me see...

2 in California 2010, 1 in California 2009, 2 in Ontario total, 3 at Dragon*Con 2011, 1 at Momo-Con 2011, 2 at Dragon*Con 2010, 3 with my friend Alex, 4 miscellaneous battles.

I don't think I am missing any unless I did Dragon*Con 2009 but I don't think I did.

*EDIT*
I did not play a game at Dragon*Con 2009.

To make sure I understand what you're saying, you want me to talk to the guys at the venue and set this up to happen soon? If so, I'll try to get us a weekend in mid-August so that we have time to prepare. Would the 17th-19th work?

Can we do the weekend after?

But I guess most of what I was saying was that we have a really bad history of actually playing BrikWars. It is very rare that we will do an actual battle. I have only played one game this year.

Than let's make it two. I'll talk to the venue about getting us the 24th-26th.

Well before you do that, we need to find out who else can come play then. I mean I am not going unless more than 1 other person shows up. My minimum (for safety) is two opponents. This is the internet we are talking about here. Not saying I think you are going to axe-murder me, but caution is good in these situations.

(But I am obviously okay with doing a 1-on-1 versus someone I have already played against before, because I already know and trust you.)

About that, there are a couple of kids who I try to get to play once a month, but I'm not sure what the age limit for this is.

I don't care as long as they aren't annoying. I don't want to be a babysitter.

They should be fine as far as that goes. Tey usually only get to play for an hour or so though. If all else fails, I have brothers and a guy who's wrists just healed that's acheing to play with Legos again.

We should see if anyone else on this board wants in on the battle if it is happening in Tennessee.

So I'm in as long as I have sufficient warning; essentially ya'll would equal my vacation time, so if I ask off and no one shows, it'll be mildly upsetting...

Anyway, my position, it'll be hard for me to ask for vacation in August since I just started at my post in July. September/October are more feasible and, unless the calendar is swamped for that particular week (which it shouldn't be since I have Fridays as my day off anyway...) I can ask for my vacation with sufficient warning.

Having only played since Jan 2011, I've completed approximately 15 games, cataloged 12 in battle reports, hosted one forum battle, and inducted a total of 6 players into the game (by inducted, I mean these folks have and play their own armies). A decent resume, I think, and trying to find a venue in this new town (no longer near Philly) to get some more folks hooked.

Also, I count for one non-creepy young adult with up-to-date background checks to game safe 8) .

You want September instead? It'll work for me and my little crew, so it's really up to Natalya at this point. Also, I'm trying to get us a weekend, so depending on how you get out here you might only need to take off Friday.
