Which one?

Post by SVGK » Fri Feb 01, 2013 3:39 pm

Which year of rules or mixture of them is best?, by best i mean resulting in the most death and chaos ones, i will be making my own rules for the gaps and things i find boring or silly, and how do i view the 2010 rules?, i want magic and supernatural stuff involved and am looking for easier to grasp rule mixtures (i passed up warhammer 40000 on complexity).

A combination of :diy: and :fudge:, using as much or as little of the existing rules as you want.

I can't directly tell you, but this heretic has provided a tainted link.

Here's your most telling sentence; you probably don't wanna touch 2001. It sounds like you've already got a grasp on 2005, and 2010 isn't *that* much different.

If you have to choose a rule book, here's what I use.
First, use 2010 rules for basically everything, but use the 2001 monster damage, special unit, and weapons section if you roll for armor. (I don't, so I just use the highest possible you can get on the die when rolling armor and add +1d6 or so to all weapons) If you want some cool stuff, the ancient tomes of 1998 and 2000 also have some pretty cool special units I think aren't in 2001 or 1998. I also have a huge list of stat cards here:https://www.dropbox.com/s/u3wxuy44uytrh ... 20doc.docx (I have even more but they aren't in there)
