Putting things in my notebook helps me to remember them.

Because it's hilarious every time someone forgets about it.

Or all at once using a big-ass electromagnet. Then your enemy switches to using aluminum caltrops, and you begin to wonder why you didn't just clear them with explosives in the first place.IVhorseman wrote:41. caltrops can be picked up one-by-one over a long period of time

Actually a battle standard gets a specific rule for not causing encumbrance in the 2005 rules.Kirillyos wrote:Yeah, I get what you mean. If they applied universally across the board, my Roman Signifer would be in bad shape...IVhorseman wrote:There's a couple rules (carrying capacities being one of them) that if you treated the same way every time, the game would turn out boneriffic.
BW2005 wrote:A Standard doesn’t necessarily have any “existence” as an in-game object if it's not convenient. Its main purpose is to act as a navigational symbol for the players rather than as a physical equipment item for a unit (although a Standard may be mounted on a "real" equipment item, such as a pennant that’s attached to a knight’s lance). A soldier holding a banner in one hand may still use a Two-Handed Weapon held in the other hand as if he weren't holding the banner, for instance.
Standards don’t cost any CP, and players may choose to add or remove Standards from the battle at will as new Squads form and old Squads dissolve. In general, minifigs should not be allowed to use a “non-existing” Standard as a weapon or tool (especially a Standard that “magically appeared” in the middle of battle) unless they’re using it to do something funny enough that the other players are laughing too hard to object.

57. So do the launcher payload rules for travel time and parabolic arc apply to rockets as well? Or do rockets travel in a straight line and impact their targets on the same turn?

Re: Newbish n00b questions, MkII
Nope, rockets use their own range and firing rules rather than the launcher's.

58. Right, but can you fire them over walls?stubby wrote:Nope, rockets use their own range and firing rules rather than the launcher's.
59. If a big rocket is traveling 12+ inches, does it close the distance in one turn or take two turns?

Why go over a wall when you can go through it?Kirillyos wrote:58. Right, but can you fire them over walls?

Well, if it's your own wall... or if the wall is made of stacked barrels of radioactive waste...Gungnir wrote:Why go over a wall when you can go through it?Kirillyos wrote:58. Right, but can you fire them over walls?
