Postby Vami IV » Fri Feb 07, 2014 9:46 pm

1). Basics:
A general / officer, hero, or sig fig shall inspire nearby units of the faction he or she belongs to or is allied to, granting +1 to skill and damage rolls by their presence. Base length is 5" for orb of influence.

2). Abilities:
A general / officer, hero or sig fig may have two major abilities, to be used only thrice, and ONLY 1 lesser ability called a trait. These traits may influence the battlefield in a multitude of ways, like extra bonuses, or intimidating foes and damaging their abilities. Like before, the above mentioned mini figs may challenge eachother to a duel.

Sub Section A, Major Abilities).
Ganbatte: Ganbatte is a ability I yoinked off of Shogun 2: Total War. In BrikWars, it shall increase skill and damage rolls, and increase armor. It affects only freindly units. May only be used 3 times per general, valid for one turn.

Inspire: Valid for one turn, with only three uses per one figure during a battle, this increases armor and damage by one.

3). Bodyguards
The above mentioned mini figs may have a minimum of two mini fig bodyguards or one hero fig. Bodyguards may have response fire indefineately with the exception of incapacitation or death. These units add one CP to the base unit. Units during the battle may add a unit or a whole squad of troops or vehicles to defend their general.

I personally believe this should be added to the rulebook. I might use these rules myself.

I don't see anything really bad about these rules, but I think that excluding them from the rulebook would make the game less complicated. As house rules, they're good.

Update:

Death of an Officer, Hero, or Sigfig will cause a -1 to Skill rolls, unless the Fig can be revived, is revived, and/or there is another such Allied fig.

Having the entire army hobbled permanently by the death of one minifig seems a little OP, though a -1 for the turn the leader dies might be ok.

Body guards can redshirt / provide cover fire for the General.
