things for the next rule book
Here are a few things that I think should be in the next eddition of the rulebook.
Flame thrower, autofire and sniper rifle rules
Update to the use ratings of big guns
Jetpack rules
Rules for mediks and mechaniks
Maybe changing the price and effect of body armor. Because it is in my opinion too cheap and provides such a good defense that most minifigs with it can not be killed
I think there were a few more but I can't remember

I'd just say bring back the minifigs and weapons from the 2001 rulebook. A greater variety of units doesn't necessarily equal more boring gameplay, and you can play without them if you prefer that.
The other thing that always bugged me was the short range of vehicle weapons. I've had battles which ended with all of the vehicles crammed together in a massive traffic jam because they had to be close enough to fire at each other.

That's because you don't make your weapons BIG enough! The sum of the lengths of all your weapons should be double your vehicles size. Just make a 4 inch car with an 8 inch gun on it and you do 8d6 damage at 48 inches. I would say four feet is a long enough distance for them to not be crammed together.Theblackdog wrote:I'd just say bring back the minifigs and weapons from the 2001 rulebook. The big gun rules in the 2005 version are currently considered a work in progress, with one camp aiming for longer ranges, and the other wanting lowered URs. What we need is a good balance of both.

Plastik Armory: a bunch of weapons and abilities compatible with the 2010 rules.

Berserkers can't do repairs or ride a horse or shoot a giant gun because if they do they will spontaneously combust but they can jump high and run instead of walk.
abilities: Berserker rage
can kill everyone in running distance if the berserker has not already ran
doesn't quite cover it.can run
Unless you meant 2*minifig speed.

I'm pretty sure he means "Can sprint". A unit which can sprint (and this applies to pretty much anything with legs) can trade in attack capabilities for that turn in order to add 1D6" to its movement. It seems to me that there are two good units here; a fast-attack infantryman who can sprint and attack on the same turn and an infantryman who can attack all targets within a certain radius.
I'm not even sure there is a way to make a standard set of vehicle combat rules, because different players' ideas of vehicle combat are based on the vehicles they personally like to build. I like flyers, so I prefer rules which emphasize high-speed movement and longer ranges. This is probably very different from the preferences of people who like realistic military tanks or 24"-long land-based battleships.

He said next rulebook, thus there is another rulebook to be made.

I would just add some war lingo/ accronyms to help people spice up thier games a little as well as likea stratagy guide or something for beginers.
unrealisticaly, The rulebook should be at least 5 times longer than the 2005 rules where an cover extensively almost every aspect of the game players could want to know includeing at least 20 brickwars specific units with stats and instructions. Obviously Mike doesn't have enuff titme to do that. I would be totaly willing to help write some though because then he would only need to spellcheck it and stuff like that.

Or you could write in in Word if you have office. (Actually OneNote works better, as it saves every 10 seconds[yarly] and has tabs in which to store chapters.)piltogg wrote:I would just add some war lingo/ accronyms to help people spice up thier games a little as well as likea stratagy guide or something for beginers.
