Ablative Armor: +1AP per Structure level. Explosive plates absord and disperse incoming shots, providing a chance that the creation may live a few seconds longer. This allows a creation to re-roll an armor roll once per game.

I really like that idea. I'd love to see a tank covered in removable plates like that. At some point I also want to use slat armor to protect my armored vehicles from RPG fire.

Course, there is one problem with my rule idea: it interferes with the idea of frequent mass destruction. So it may be un BrikWarsy. Hide mechs behind cover would be an easier (and cowardlyer) way to go around their destructability.
