one- that is real, i want one. you can tell not only becuase of the way that he's holding it, but becuase there are more of those little opening between the ironsights and the barrel, instead of bigger ones if it was photo-shopped.

also, shooting that gun would cuase it to fly out of your hands if it wasnt braced, or break your shoulder if it was.

It's obviously not real, the lighting is all wrong, the barrel is the most glaring giveaway but I admit the part around the hands looks fairly well done. A shotgun on that scale would also be VERY heavy and the ol' boy, strong though he may be is not THAT strong.

This is real, (no, it's not me. See, no flames) it's an Anti Tank Rifle (Lahti L-39 Anti-tank rifle) and if you don't believe the pic here...

Hey Rayhawk, I just remembered: You said there would be more fluff in this rulebook, but I don't see much more than in the last one.

That's true, a lot of it is waiting for artwork still so I'll be sneaking it in later. Also I haven't completely decided on the presentational style for the fluff stuff, whether to give it a different-colored box or only sneak it in in-between chapters or what.

The OTC box at the bottom of chapter 6 is the only real example so far of the kind of new stuff I want to add, but next on the list are:

Hospital 555
Bleywatch
Jaw-Jaws
BrikThulhu

If you could change all the colors in the rule book to black, white and red, it would be nice...

Hey Rayhawk, I was looking through the rules a few days ago and noticed a thing that needs to be fixed. I like that minifigs can now have random objects that are "tools", but this rule is not applied in the Combat chapter for the "Close Combat Example: Yoko vs. Dan" example. Instead the frying pan is treated like a 2005 Random Object. Did I misinterpret Minifig Tools so that frying pans are still Random Objects, or did you just not update the example?
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Today is "Talk Like a Pirate" day, isn't it?
Damnit. I must have missed the memo.

Oh, good catch there. I'm looking at it now, it looks like all I have to change is the name - the old stats for Random Objects are the same as the new stats for Tools, so all the calculations stay the same.

I don't have them in front of me right now, but I seem to remember cutting them about in half. So hopefully they'll be a little less of a pain in the butt.

We already have those rules. By some reasonable interpretation of the 2005 rulebook, you get:

+1 skill = 1 CP
+1" move = 0.5 CP
+1 armor = 0.25 CP

Inconsistency

Post by HAL-9001 » Wed Sep 22, 2010 4:05 pm

I am working on a PDF rulebook using LaTeX (complete through Chapter 7); so far, I like what I see, but I have found an inconsistency in Chapter 3: Minifig Weapons.

In the table at the top of the page, Tools have UR 3 and Damage 1d6-2, and Random Objects have UR 4 and Damage 1d6-2.

In their entries near the bottom of the page, Tools have UR 4 and Damage 1d6-1, and Random Objects have UR 3 and 1d6-2.

I don't see any other issues so far (though I might have found and corrected a couple of spelling errors along the way...I'm an unrepentant Anorak about that sort of thing), and I'm looking forward to Chapters 8-11!
