BW 2010 feedback

[HAL-9001]

I am working on a PDF rulebook using LaTeX (complete through Chapter 7); so far, I like what I see, but I have found an inconsistency in Chapter 3: Minifig Weapons.

In the table at the top of the page, Tools have UR 3 and Damage 1d6-2, and Random Objects have UR 4 and Damage 1d6-2.

In their entries near the bottom of the page, Tools have UR 4 and Damage 1d6-1, and Random Objects have UR 3 and 1d6-2.

I don't see any other issues so far (though I might have found and corrected a couple of spelling errors along the way...I'm an unrepentant Anorak about that sort of thing), and I'm looking forward to Chapters 8-11!

The only thing I can think of here is that he thinks it should read:

"Mobile Suit Dungam"

Looks pretty nice, form my experience during the half dozen or so games I did at Brick Fair I can say anything that will cut down on non-action turns is a good thing. Gets new (and old) players out of that boring movement only type playing. One thing that does seem a bit over done is Warheads picture use, I don't have any hate towards him just it did seem a bit excessive.

Found a single typo, but more may still lurk.

How would one calculate layered armor levels?
EVAs, for example, are fleshy and organic, with a layer of armor over that, and an AT field over the armor.

Well, hopefully it inspires the rest of you to start taking better pictures. Lt. Krus just posted some that have the kind of staging that looks really nice on the page. A lot of them are grainy and out of focus, but there's a couple that I can maybe get into workable shape with some image processing: (sniper) (cover)

For the most part though, Warhead's the only one posting photos in large numbers that have the kind of staging and image quality that I can use.

Huh, I could have sworn there used to be a rule in Component Damage that gave interior elements a lower Structure Level and Armor Rating than exterior ones. I'll have to put that back in.

I read through the Gundam wiki page and was begining to think that Gundam was both singular and plural. But I did find two Gundams.

"The 'original' Gundam, the RX-78-2 design was expanded to be the second in a line of 8 Gundams"

and several mobile suits

"The RX-78 series introduced Minovsky particle weaponry to mobile suits,"

But mobile suits is never followed by Gundam
and Gundams is never after mobile suit.

Mobile Suit Gundam is singular but refers to one suit of one of the many styles, sort of like saying "him" without referring to a person.

The only thing I have to add to the debate about pics is that there should be a note on the ubiquitous pubic hairs that seem to find their way into almost every photo. (sniper) Cats or other family pets are blamed but we all know that those crinkly frizzy fuckers are nothing more than genital wigage.
